As much as I want Max to win I can't help feeling Lewis' experience will win through and he will take title number 8. Have cast my vote as such.

Looks like the Mercedes run considerably better (or the RedBull's considerable worse, I guess) in the cool of the evening. Alpine are looking good here too.

Mercedes looking comfortable, more so on the mediums. I guess red bull will try the softs to get pole. Mercedes will now stick their spicy engine in, although that engine must be getting a little more tired.

Try and get pole and then Max will drive like a complete **** to make sure he doesn't lose the lead. Still got a feeling that he will do something massively stupid and somehow people will decide that it wasn't his fault.

Surprised race control didn't get the marshalls to clean the outside of T9 exit during the gap between sessions. Every time a car gets near the kerb out there it throws up a shower of debris and carbon fibre.
Why do that when you can have 15 laps behind a SC and a red flag? ;)

The equivalent of going from a Vindaloo to a Madras?

I'm surprised only a few think Max is going to win.

I want Lewis to but after FP1/FP2 Max looks super quick. I know they were on softs and Mercedes on mediums

Someone compiled the long run times

I gave up taking the blindest bit of notice on practice times long ago! Only the teams themselves know where they are.

Quali is the only time they lay the cards on the table to give you a bit of a clue.

Piastri takes a 5th consecutive F2 pole position. Makes it even more sickening he isn't in an F1 car next year.
