Thanks buddyHow happy on a 1-10 scale are you? Feel like I am in the same situation as you as I have a 1440p IPS 60hz screen but want Freesync/144hz.
Hard to say right now , things are smoother but i dont really notice a huge difference it has to be said, my main aim was to get gsync adn the 144hz+ was a bonus. Haven't tried anything to really see the difference yet so i would say 7 on happiness scale that may increase with trials of cs go and the like.
