Acer Predator Z35 35" 2560x1080 VA 200Hz G-sync

It's difficult to know what the images are that you've posted, but they look pretty bad. The picture quality on my z35 is sharp and has some depth to it when viewing - it's very clear, no banding or ghosting and overclocked without a hitch. I'm in the process of moving house so had to pack it away so can't take any more pics right now, but if you go to my earlier post you'll see the pic I put up while playing just cause 3. Sorry to hear you're having such an issue, interested to see how you go. Separately in really surprised that there are no inbox ins or reviews up on you tube (apart from one in Thai which you can watch and guess what they think lol)

First picture is the sky in Project cars. Second picture is the Frontier boot screen in Elite Dangerous and the third picture is an in game shot of Elite Dangerous. All have bad colour banding. As this is the 2nd monitor already I think it's not a defective monitor but AGAIN a faulty firmware like the X34..

no issues with banding on the sample i'm using. doubt very much there's a firmware issue as they would have certainly checked that given the issues with the other screens. Could be down to your setup, graphics card etc. try restoring all graphics card settings and OSD settings to default and also check you don;t have any ICC profiles loaded

Cool Badass. I look forward to your review and thoughts on the Z35 vs X34. If the Z35's better contrast ratio and higher refresh rate (better motion clarity?) off-set the X34's superior resolution.

I tried the benq 35" one and the VA response times looked awful loads of smearing on transitions and the viewing angles are not the best that VA can produce on some tvs. The curve is nice though. Black levels were average but not super deep. Wasn't impressed at all.

120hz ULMB is impressive when i see Ultrawide VA and 120hz strobing i take notice. My FG2421 is still serving me well, I thought this would be an Ultrawide version of that but it seems not?

Have to see more reviews res is pityful i am thinking next year they will nail it with another ULMB Ultrawide with higher res or i will sit tight until OLED. I sense perfection is getting another step closer though!

Ya if they made this 3440x1440 instead of 2560x1080, other specs the same I would have paid twice as much for it. (Would need dual DP 1.2 or single DP 1.3 for 200 Hz 1440p).

Mine gets delivered today to compare directly against the X34.

Indeed i will take strobing over syncing until there is ultra low persistance OLED. 3440 VA with 120hz ULMB would tide me but really we just need these specs carried over to OLED.

VA would do for a year or so though.

Some interesting results coming out of 200 Hz G-Sync in regard to motion clarity....

I was considering this monitor tbh before I got the X34, I personally feel that the other benefits outweigh the poor resolution :)

People seem to forget its the same PPI as a 27" 1080p.

And a lot of people who used 24" 1080ps moved to 27" 1080p cant tell a difference, I guess some people dont make out with their monitors.
