im really torn whether to just get the swift. what are these like side by side? the design of the swift is much nicer too :confused:

This is almost as fast as the swift, plus IPS colours and viewing angles. Just wait it out.

Any chance of more monitors using this panel? Seems odd it's the only one. I'd love a bezel-free alternative. There's really nothing I like about this monitor to look at... it seems a great performer, but that's about it.

It's functionality as a gaming monitor is unparalleled at the moment. Big deal for many. Its not an ornament

I agree it's functionality is superb. However, a monitor is more of an ornament than an ACTUAL ornament given how many hours a day I spend looking at it! I want it to look damn good, especially at this price!

I get your point, I'm not a huge fan of the piano black finish but that's not the part I'm looking at

ASUS has one with the same panel that's coming at some point in Q2, but it's FreeSync. No other monitor with this panel yet, I assume the supply is much higher than demand.

To help people stay the course, if you saw the Asus Rog Swift and the Acer Predator in front of you playing a game in clone mode, everyone would choose the Acer, it is that simple.

The stock has landed at sea port.

A container of 320 units in the UK, 260 of which OcUK has grabbed.

Customs should release them tomorrow or day after, they then go to uk distributor who will take 1-2 days and then ship to ourselves. Friday best case otherwise early next week.

So far we've pre sold 150pc leaving just over 100 spare.

That would be great Gibbo if you could make some inquiries asap to see if it is an onsite Acer warranty we get with this screen from OcUk or just a normal standard warranty.

Some shops in the US or other places offer a pixel perfect addon, like for $49 or even $99. Maybe OcUK can provide an optional pixel perfect service for some cost?

Does that mean all current pre-orders will be fulfilled out of this incoming batch?

I'm in a tricky situation whereby I pre-ordered last week using finance and I'm hoping the panel arrives before my finance cooling-off period expires.
