Hi there,

I received my Aego M's this morning. I've just finished installing them and they're sounding much better than my old Creative I-trigue 3300's (which probably aren't they great). Vocals and metallic sounds are much more prominent and string instruments are crisper. The subwoofer volume is set at number 2 (there are 3 settings) and the bass is tauter.

The satellite speakers are about the size of a mouse so they're smaller than I thought they would be but they're pretty heavy for their size.

If I have time I'll try to take some photos.

Do they have a headphone connector? Also, would they be a good upgrade from my Inspire 6700's? I'm not using them as much for 5.1 so I want a decent 2.1 setup.

Nope, the shop are expecting them in 'Anytime now', so hopefully next week.

I know of one site who had them in for a few days, then ran out of stock and are awaiting some.

Hi cyKey,

Unfortunately there isn't a headphone socket on the Aego's.

Not sure how they would compare with the Inspire's as I've not heard them before.

any pics o fthe sub, i heard it was the same and just the sats that were updated. think the older sats look better IMO but would like to here a set of the new ones

Ok, I finally received mine today and all I can say is wow! :D

The satellites are very crisp and clear in all ranges, the sub managed to knock 5 frames of the walls in my house and wake my brother up at the same time :p

An excellent buy, worth every penny.

Most possibly going to buy those m series jobbies after the new year then :) Those small sat's look perfect for my needs and aren't too large.
 
Hi,

I've currently got the bass setting on the subwoofer on level 1 (out of 3) and the bass is sufficient for me.

However, I don't really listen to much bass-heavy music so I'm not really qualified to answer this.

What sort of cable is that coming from the pc to the Left and Right connectors?
Any advantage to using different cabling, the stuff that comes with the speakers seems to be a good quality.
