1) Being a Don or UB means that you have an extra social group to maintain membership of - I wouldn't want to adapt to expectations of my behaviour order to maintain my position when I sometimes find the forum rules restrictive in what I would like to post
2) The extra work
3) I'm not the right personality
4) The current team do a pretty good job, even if its cloak and dagger all the time
Too much commitment to the boards. Righton for the dudes and dudettes that do.. but not for me.. i enjoy my position on the forum as.. hmm i forget my forum position.. i think its over <trundles off to corner of graphics section>
Didn't mean that, I meant that the dons keep everything close to your chest compared to other (usually smaller) boards - I prefer it when all decision are out in the open (not that the issue of disclosure comes up as it used to) but I don't think it would be a good policy on a board this size
There's a few very valied reasons for that. Not least the amount of work that would be involved telling everyone about each decision, but also the fact that unless the decision directly affects your account it is no business of yours And if it is the mods are there to be spoken to about it.
Nothing to do with me any more, I just don't think calling the people that have the power to stop you being a member here any more dictators is such a brilliant idea...
It sounds like too much responsibility to be something to aspire to, really. I like to come on these forums to simply read posts and post my own. I don't think I'd be able to log on here with a purpose
