Afghanistan - 20 years on

America has come second only to Britain in how embarrassing it is on the world stage. First the January 6th riot where traitors attempted their revolution and were let off completely free, to a full scale retreat after a 20 year failed war. We’ve shift ourselves in the foot with Brexit, left Europe, only to be mugged right off by the USA we were trying to follow and have influence with.

We didn't swap the EU for the US, you're making a false comparison.

"The defence secretary expressed "deep regret" that not everyone eligible had been evacuated, including around 800 to 1,100 Afghans and 100 to 150 Britons"

Not very good

Theres more to that quote...(my bolding)

around 800 to 1,100 eligible Afghans would be left behind, as well as approximately 100 to 150 British nationals, some of whom he said were staying willingly.

What wonderful leadership we have, telling people stuck to head to the Iranian or Pakistani border and Boris asking the Taliban nicely to let people out

The Taliban are now the de facto government in Afghanistan, so what do you expect him to do? If they want to be taken seriously post 31/8 then it's in their best interests to comply. Personally, if I found myself wanting to leave Afghanistan then I'd rather get out via Pakistan, or another border crossing, than hang around the *********** that is KBL.

It was only a week ago Boris was saying he wouldn't and was advising everybody else to not acknowledge the Taliban as the government of Afghanistan, not to mention there seems to be no order among the lower ranks as they're already stopping people from leaving and let's not ignore the whole going door to door and shooting people who collaborated with the Western incursion despite saying they wouldn't and everything else they said they wouldn't do

This Pen guy, along with his chum Dyer have a lot to answer for, as well as their supporters. Pretty despicable behaviour on their part, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Why? They paid for and chartered their own flight, the only involvement the MOD had was getting them a flight plan/call sign for the plane.
Not just the MOD involved in the evacuation.
Why? He served in the armed forces and set up something to help animals, whats the issue? Leave him and his staff to the Taliban would you?
He was offered a seat earlier in the week, he turned it down. I couldn't care less if it was animals, human beings or something else, this is a all hands on deck situation. As someone who served he should know better.
Wtf are you talking about
The abuse thrown at MOD officials and FCO staff etc. The other charity/NGO staff outraged that they couldn't get people processed because of these clowns taking up everyone's time. It's all been reported in the likes of the Guardian, BBC etc.
