It's too quick because the people doing this aren't progressing naturally. You find that the early levels pass quickly, that's fine as they're just getting you ready for the rest of the game. The later levels pass slowly if you let them - in any game if you powerthrough, you're going to get there quicker than intended.

Very true I guess, been playing mmorpg's for over 10 years now, I only lasted over a month with WoW, EQ II & Vanguard just to one thing or another, I've got quite a few friends playing this I'll wait & see what their thoughts are before I spend any money - I trust there opinions considering I've known them 7 years +.
May even get a buddy card. . .
Try this m8, it's by the same guy that made the MirageUI for WoW, glad to see he has moved over to AoC,
So we can expect to see a very nice UI from him developing over the next few months

Finally installed & patching in progress Be there soon....
Here's few pics
playing a conquerer, its pretty cool - nice and brutal, i love the blood + combos and fatalities. Only thing annoying me is the ui. I'm using mirage atm but the buttons are too small and it doesnt feel too great. Hopefully they will scale it up slightly. Another thing is that I havent properly been in many groups doing dungeons or anything, i suppose this is gonna come later? (I'm lvl 20 now)
Otherwise its a fun game. I wouldnt say its addictive like wow(crack) but then thats a good thing.

Damn, doesn't sound like I'm gonna have much luck with my system then with this game, here are my specs:
E2200 2.20GHz
2GB DDR2 Ram
HD3850 256MB (I could only afford the 256MB version at the time
)Does this mean that I will end up with crap framerates then on this game on medium-high settings?
Im still finding the combat/movement system a bit clunky.
I mean i know you use the hotkeys to swing your weapon but you have to use the mouse to select specials, so how do you move as well at the same time? grow extra fingers?
You have 3 of your fingers glued to the hotkey buttons and your mouse selecting the specials and also moving you forward, so how do you sidestep and move back and side to side

I'm taking a guess but I would say your going to be on the low-medium settings and still getting 30 or below fps (maybe more in open areas). This game seems a big hog on RAM, GFX & CPU currently.

Very similar ssytem to mine, apart from the cpu, i have a 2140 @ 3.00ghz and its running fine on medium high settings. Hope you enjoy the game

Decided to cancel my subscription, I just can't stand it, it just runs too poorly. Sometimes it goes down as low as 10 fps on very low settings, it's just horrible to look at and feels horrible to play. Maybe I'll upgrade my system soonish and start playing again. The gameplay seems pretty good but it's ruined by the horrific performance for me.
