Age of Conan

Never played but the vids do look great. I'am put off the game by the feedback that gives the impression that its just a solo rpg, abit like a guildswar with all the instances. Also the lack of stats that also point towards it being based around the 360 verson.
I love the Conan books but i'am going to wait on this untill i read reviews that i trust and play a trial version.

currently no-lifing this game atm, level 56 and rising as a tempest of set on wildsoul pvp, will add some screenshots later.

Despite the bugs, the game is brilliant and by far one of the more interesting up to date mmo's out, a good crafting base is coming and guilds setting up keeps and villages as we speak, game is very quest based with little grinding and pvp is brilliant, graphics 10/10 gameplay 10/10, hours in the day 24/24. =]

Hey dude, Could you give us some detail on how your finding the pvp server and pvp in general? Also Iis it really a case of standing still and mashing buttons? Or does movement and placing come into it aswell?

How are you finding the higher levels? I'm guessing you've got a good idea of the instances (dungeons) what are they like?

Is the gear system cool? I.e do you look forward to the next sword or shoulder piece because you know it will improve your character or does it just make marginal difference?

Sorry for all the questions, but your the highest level char on here so far :p

Hi mate, pvp server is fun gank anyone you like or chose not too its your choice, ganking has slowed down a lot since start days and most apart from rival guilds leave each other alone, pvp is great tho most classes are fairly balanced and its actually working out well, i dont take any notice of my gear i just pick up what i get and use it if its better , im a caster so weapons dont matter to much just mana and resistance etc, dungeons are realy nice there lots of different ones and they are much harder than other games and realy require you to play as a team. hope that answered your questions.

Playing on Wildsoul too but only level 19, I've been having concerns about the guilds / community for fear of picking (the foregin server) seeing as you up so high what are you opinions of wildsoul dude.

General consensus is there is no 'carrot on a stick' grinding in this, so addictiveness shouldn't be too much of a problem. You have self control right?

Really loving this game now I hit 20. The limited starting area of Tortage is very different to how it develops. Anyway new screeny for you.

enjoy tortage, ol , and for furbs all the foreigners went to fury so wildsoul it is, it has a big swg community my guild is one of them although i never played, so it will be plenty active. plenty of people around to help and most are friendly.

Impressive pics, the game itself looks superb graphics wise with the detail.

People level 50 - 60 range? Sorry to sound negative but the game opened via early access 4 days ago correct? The leveling aspect seems to easy like Lotro - I can see people getting bored within a few months.

The thing with this game is it's not about the levelling and getting to max level, but what you do when you get to max level.
Then the PvP side opens up with keep seiges and PvP battlegrounds, also Guild Cities and other stuff I am sure I have left out.
If you are the sort of person that gets to max level and thinks the game is over, then yes you are right you might get bored.

I agree with you but level 56 in 4 days just seems seriously too quick, I would have least expected the 80 levels to last somewhat over a longer period i.e. 6 - 9 months on that side of things their doesnt seem to be a sense of achievement.
