Age of Conan

I can't link what I remember and you can't link anything to the contrary. I'm not intentionally lying about it.

Wait a second... we can't link you to a source that says it didn't happen therefore we shouldn't question its accuracy and default our view on this to being true?

Well, I just saw an army of combat ninja midgets take control of my local demanding that anything green should be painted pink within 48 hours or they will eat the sun! ... this is 110% accurate until you can link me to something that says otherwise.

Grow up.

At the moment, I don't think I'll be renewing my subscription after the free month - but will come back to it in a couple of months time when they've done the rest of the game. (currently at 54)

There's at least 5 people so far who've reached max level on my server alone! One of them didn't even have early access so he did it in 5 days!!!!

I'm sorry that it all comes back to WoW, but months after its release, the first guild that took down Magmadar (the second boss in Molten Core that very rapidly became a joke of a raid instance) got banned for publishing strats on the internet. How things changed with WoW and how they will change with AoC.

Tosh, if the guild did get banned the only possible explanation would be because they used some exploits.

Molten Core didn't become a joke either, where did you get that from? Sure it got farmed eventually once people got the hang of all the bosses but it was the original raid instance and fantastic at the time.

Being in Molten Core runs for the first time is one of my best memories from gaming.

That's not actually true.

The guild in question where being accused of exploiting and they all got a temporary ban. No one had even touched Lucifron because she was so hard. But upon blizzard temporarily banning them, they decided to release all the tactics for the bosses, it wasn't until they reach something like Gar or the big rock guy, cant remember his name that they got there temp ban.

Don't think I'll continue playing this anymore, aside from the performance issues the game just severely lacks polish, the combat system isn't that great really, and on the whole the game just seems boring to me.

KittenCake, I haven't played it but in many online games the first 6 months is needed to iron out a lot of performance issues on both client and server, chances are they'll make it run smoother on both fairly soon.

Can't help with the boring part though!

sadly it's codemasters who brought us d&d online. Don't expect them to solve issues with people completing in 5 days. Sounds exactly like D&D where people had finished leveling within the week.

Yeah Jas, bit worrying that they can get to end game so soon, just means people will quit after a while (probably little end game content) or far all the goodies.

no one has been banned for sharing strategies. Blizzard encourage it and supply you with templates for websites.

If that's what they said they were banned for, then they're covering up for something else.

I never said you were intentionally lying, i said it wasn't true. You're misinformed. If you cant find a link for it, it suggests it never happened.

Anyone else's age of conan just stopped working? get generic crash whenever i click "Play" after patch screen, very irritating.

Screen goes black then it crashes.

So I have had this game a couple of days now, I just hit level 20 and am finally off the n00b island and in a Cimmerian village. There are quite a few people here, plenty of places to buy goods, plenty of quests.

I have one complaint/query though...

I was led to believe that once this happened I would have freedom to travel all over Hyboria, but I can't seem to run more than a minute or two in any direction before I run into a village wall/fence or a mountain. I have a quest to talk to a bloke when I am level 30, same as the level 20 quest in Tortage.

Is it going to be like this every time I go somewhere new? Do I have to grind ten levels before I can explore a tiny bit more? I feel like I'm passing through levels/stages, I do not feel like I am in a huge world at all.

Don't get me wrong, I love the game so far. I am just greatly disappointed by the lack of freedom.

Theres a wagoneer close to that riderik guy (speak to him when youre lvl 30), that will take you to Tarantia. This is how you travel from town to town mostly.

It's the exploring in new MMORPGs that I like most, quite worried now. Don't have the game yet either :p

I was thinking about picking this game up, i need a new MMO to play after quitting WoW.

The problem is im used to the polish of WoW and as a former high end raider im worried that AoC is just going to be too rough around the edges for me to enjoy.

What do you guys who have the game reckon? Is it a good idea to hold back for a month or two till all the bugs get ironed out or should i just wait for WAR :P
