There are a couple of torrents if you look around (read: google).

More leechers than seeders unfortunately, i get an average download rate of 10kbps and i have tried various ones. i dont get why people start downloading it and dont seed, i have limits to keep to but still let off around 20kbps.

The download manager helps a bit with the download.

Really wanted to draw attention to the extension of the head start to 6 days and the concerning limit they have now mentioned when plenty of people still lack their keys.

just finished installing the beta.

Seen to be getting slideshow like performance :(

Even on the menu screen it seems to hang a lot. In game was reallly slow also hanged a lot as well as having textures popping in and out.

System is Amd A64 x2 4400 @ 2.64gz, ATI 1900xtx overclocked quite a bit, 2 x 1gb of DDR Corsair ram running at about 480mhz.

Should my system atleast run this on low with 30 fps?

more ram? I have a similar system to you: AMD A64 x2 3800 @ stock, 4 gig ram and 800gtx and i can run with everything maxed. Moments of stuttering and freezing though.

I really wanted to try this game then about Feb i got into some "Tech Tester Beta" which i got to play twice for 4 hours on some stress tests but they where unplayable so uninstalled then they moved my account to closed beta about a month ago and i just havent redownloaded but i was really looking forward to the game

its a nice game but even on my new system it looks weird, 8800 gtx e8400 2 gig ram shouldnt like that some say they get around 20-30 but i was nearly always 30+ and usualy 60+ where there was no action for 1024 res they need to sort the game out!

Interesting as I always got 50+ fps on a Q6600, 8800 GTS 320MB, 4GB RAM, and it looks fine at 1920 x 1200.

yeah seems lots of hardware is all other the place, lots of issues with the client.

i think i will upgrade my processor for a Quad soon anyway, but the game does seem fun however i sometimes get the feeling that its just a singleplayer game with bits of pvp in it.

Melee classes are a bit overpowered in the beggining against casters.

How are people finding the open beta?

Currently the game is on my do not buy list, which is a shame as I quite fancied it originally. From the limited levels and PVP I have tried I just don't find the game at all exciting.

Limited attacks (and very similar through classes), poor quest structures, and much much more putting me right off.
