Age of Conan

a few questions about age of conan (because i dont know much about it)

is this a online game like wow and guildwars etc? or is it like oblivion and morrowind offline?

allso if it is a online game once you have baught the game do you have to pay monthly?

Yes you pay monthly they give you 1 month free. It has online and offline, Night time is offline and day is online i think the single player only goes up to level 20 or 30 and its free.
 
Can anyone better explain the daytime and nighttime modes?

Does AoC use a 24hr clock the same as we do?

Am I always going to be gaming in nighttime mode in that case as I only play in the evenings? Does this mean I won't be able to group and do instances?
 
no no
you are in "normal" mode all the time
to do the "main quest" that expands your story you go to the tavern and change to night mode. its just some quest you do on your own without a party.
it has nothing to do with real world

And does this affect your PVE/PVP status?

It's not a PVE/PVP when you want it type switch is it?
 
as you are alone there is nobody apart from npcs there (night)
in the beta (pvp server i think) i remember fighting other guys during quests.
 
PVE or PVP or RP-PVP depends on the server you choose with your character at the beginning.

I was tempted to go PVP but this PVP test this weekend put me off somewhat, with all the Ganking whilst talking to NPC's etc.
 
well the pvp event in the end of the beta didnt reflect the proper game imo as they have removed lots of things (like invuln while zoning)
i havent tried it myself but this is what i am seeing forums.

what we need now is server names actually
 
Just to remind you, i got my early access key and you get 10 days extra gameplay with the early access key which isnt too bad..

Client is available to download now but the game does not open untill the 17th which is kind of shabby, not going to get to download the client untill sat because my provider caps my downloads after 10 (offpeak) and i get a crap dl speed.

that was fileplanet unsubscribed though, hopefully i will get full download speeds.

i want to know what server everyone is going on, have they released the server name?
