I gave in to temptation and purchased this on the high street and the kind souls have given me a Mammoth Mount (apparently its an exclusive for thos that purchase the game from them).

I am at work at the moment so wont get to play it until tonight but with all the installation and patching it might not be till the early hours until I join.

However, once sorted I will be looking to join the OcUK Guild.

Just installed the game, patched and is now saying authentication error!

Triple checked and all is correct, to add to that the forums appear to be down, i'm logged in and it says I do not have privilege to view anything!

i fell off a ramp in tort and im stuck, cant get out :/ /stuck just makes me walk backwards

I got the shadows sorted by turning off ambient occlusion, the option right beneath the shadow settings. Game's running very nicely for me so far, trying out a ToS on Dagon - definitely the best mmo to come along since wow for me and I've tried them all.

Yes it is, was added in a patch yesterday. If you are DX10 capable you can see it in the water (like in Bioshock).

Well seems theres a common problem related to the game wanting to run dxdiag while it launches (lol) which crashes peoples systems.

Looks like I wont be playing anytime soon.

I wasn't sure if my order had been sent as on their website it just says processing, so i emailed them asking, and got this responce:

Hello Adam

Thank you for placing your order with ***********.

After checking on your order I'm happy to say that your order has been
processed and dispatched via Royal Mail on 22nd of May 2008.

Well I'm just baffled. Even if I set everything to the absolute lowest I cannot achieve the framerates I had earlier on. I don't understand.

The graphics settings application seems to be really buggy.

I think you need to read up on it matey

at least most dx10 features are not in the game until later in the year

Code worked fine for me when I ordered 2 at 12:10 today.
I even managed to link it through Quidco so got another 8% off.

Works out at £6.21/month.
Much better than £10.50

Why such a stupid statment?

Programmers like Valve, id Software and the like have been programming since the very early days when games started to become more mainstream on the PC. Im sure if anyone of them had been in charge of AoC it wouldnt be a 27gig install.

On the good side i like the sound of a limit on the lvl you can start crafting. It will have a huge impact on the economy, it wont be so easy to pump a low lvl alt with lots of gold just to get him high levels in crafting.

I don't understand this. I decrease settings and it runs worse. I put up the settings, add AA, it runs better and looks better. Then I restart the game and it looks worse and runs worse. This is a joke.

I set it to the preset 'low' settings, I get 30 fps.
From the low presets I lower the settings even further, and it runs worse.
