If you have Zonealarm on your system, move your mouse down to the bottom right of your screen - if the cursor changes to the normal Windows cursor, then your Zonealarm has popped up, but you can't see it. Try clicking randomly where the "Accept" button would normally be when an updated program is accessing the internet and you should get in instantly. This happened to me a number of times during Early Access. At least you're getting passed the loginconan forums login hasnt updated yet so i cant check to see if its a problem anyone else is experiancing.
It hasn't crashed, still got sound and the mouse. Wonder what the hell its doing?
I had issues when changing the Advanced graphics settings as well. In the end, I just clicked the preset options, Low, Medium or High and it works ok (except High sucks on my machine!). Even on Low it's not that bad looking.....with a little overclocking of my 256mb X1800XT, it plays Medium pretty well.Hmm keep getting client errors when trying to change graphical settings, and some settings that require a restart to take effect simply revert to the old state when I restart.
No Dx10 at the moment![]()
im also running everything at max settings on 1680 x 1080, on dx10 aswell, nice and smooth.

I can see how that might be frustrating. Can't suggest anything else, I'm afraid. But I had it playing really well after changing some advanced settings, 40-55fps, average of 48, with the preset low it only runs at 20-30 fps. It looked better also. I just can't get it back to how it was for some reason. Damn annoying.
It's a bit early to say. You only really, properly start to deviate from the other classes in your archetype from around 20 (perhaps a little earlier for some - you start to notice it at 10th level) and most folk who have EA and are taking their time are probably around mid-20s at the moment. I haven't even done a lot of grouping yet.... I imagine that we'll really see how it's going to work once more folk are 40+.I just bought this at lunchtime (back at work now, not had a chance to install). Is there such a thing as a 'holy trinity' in AoC? E.g. Warrior-Priest-Mage where all classes are in high demand? I don't want to do what I did in WoW and naively pick a class that never gets a group (the Rogue in my case).
I say b) makes more sense - unless you have something else to do all weekendNew rig should arrive tomorrow.
Do I:
a) Order from Jersey and start playing from the middle of next week (perhaps when things have calmed down a bit)
b) Bite the bullet and buy in town and play all weekend (it is a bank holiday after all)
