Age of Conan

I'm personally going healer.

Me and 4 of my mates have all worked it out, we got 1tank 3dps and 1 healer :)

So we got a good instance group ready form *** start - never done healing myself - Tanked and have DPS. Might end up tanking if i get too bored.

If you read through the T&C you'll probably find that is exactly what you are supposed to do.

I do hope that the company you work for never goes through the process of floating on the stock exchange or gets into takeover discussions with any other company.
If you feel the need to tell your wife every little thing and happen to tell her even the smallest little thing you shouldn't about such things happening at work you could find yourself in jail (no, not eggerating).
So the idea that you HAVE to tell your wife everything is a little far fetched.

I find it a little rich that an anonymous stranger on an internet forum should feel fit to comment upon my marriage without knowing the slightest detail about it, but hey..thats the internet for you I guess.

The company I work for cannot go through a takeover, because the company I work for isnt a company, its education.

Interesting though that I have already broken the AoC NDA due to 1) telling my wife that I am in the beta, 2) letting her see my screen and 3) letting my 2 year old daughter see my screen.

I will leave the general public here to decide whether or not its a reasonable thing for an NDA to not allow someone to inform their spouse or allow their child to see the screen.

Also I should clarify that at no point did I say you HAD to tell your wife everything, I simply stated that is how our marriage works. Again though , its the nature of the internet for reading comprehension to not be what it should

Its a fair cop guv'nor ! I dinna mean to tell her honest..it jus' kinda slipped out over dinner.

I's been 'aving an affair with me secretary I says...thats ok, she says, we'll get past it.....oh, I says, and I'm in the AoC beta ...next fing I knows ah'm being interrogated in a cell !
 
I have been dipping in and out of this thread so I have probably missed this. What is the main focus of AOC regarding gameplay? I ask this as I am 100% PvE sorta guy. Is it PvE, PvP or a combo of both or is it kept on separate servers. Can the game be played solo to max level even though I usually end up grouping at least 30 to 40% of the time? It's nice to have options.

Figured for a while now that AoC open beta would be for fileplanet subscribers, when they mentioned that open beta would be a limited open beta it was only a question then of who they would distribute it with. Going to be a mad rush to grab those open beta keys hehe. Quite surprised that the open beta has a level 13 cap though.

It's going to pee a few people off having that cap, but sensible really. Some people won't like the game regardless of how well polished it is and capping it at lvl 13 gives them less to see and in turn less to not like, whilst whetting their appetite.

True, 13 is achievable in a day or two, so after a couple of days they should be starting to form some kind of idea whether or not they like the game. Not sure whether its the level 13 cap or having to be a paying fileplanet customer they will dislike more, but given the huge size of the client download it makes sense to 3rd party the download
 
Meh they knew months ago it would be through sites like Filplanet and experience dictates that they would charge for something this popular.

With all these open beta events i'm starting to get quite excited about May 20th and playing the game with my whole guild instead of just a handful of us.

May 20th is coming round fast indeed..soon the unwashed masses will be in Hyboria, roleplaying the parts of..well...unwashed masses

Let's hope Funcom have got better at running MMOs or you wont be playing by the 20th June for any length of time. AO was terrible the first few months! Servers up and down like yo yos.

You can't afford that these days.
