I was enjoying it until people found out about stunlocking with a Demonologist and Tempest of Set. Long stuns have no place in a game which is centred on PvP.
Fights are over way too quickly. Funcom seem to have a completely different philosophy compared to Warhammer devs, who want PvP to be fun all the time - ie no stunlocking and "time to kill" more than 6 seconds.
Conan's PvP is more like an fps like Quake 3. Other parts of the game are going to have to be something special to make me want to pay a monthly sub instead of playing an online fps game for free.
The half life 2 mod, Age of Chivalry is more fun.
I cancelled my pre-order and will wait until I hear more about the PvE side of the game.
Graphics are nice but there's a bit of Vanguard syndrome creeping in with some occasional jerkiness in the pvp arena when the fighting got busy, and that's with only about a dozen players on screen fighting. I played on low settings at 1280x960. In the lobby area I was getting a steady 60fps but in the arena it would vary quite a bit and drop below 30 when multiple spell effects were going off. Which look amazing buy the way, probably the best spell effects in any mmog.
It is fun if you enjoy the speed of an fast paced fps with your PvP, the combat system works well and is refreshingly different from the norm. Although there are plenty of special attacks which you can spam like every other mmog.
I've tried most of the classes and the casters are very interesting and the barbarian is a lot of fun. If I eventually buy the game I would most likely stick to the rogue and mage classes.
It's a definite 'wait and see' for me.
Obviously my opinion is based solely on the two mini PvP arenas and the first 5 lvls of PvE. The overall experience of the whole game will undoubtedly be better. This was just a very small taster of the game but for me, it tasted bad.
oh, no nipples was another let down :'( but tech beta testers assured me they would be in the final version
