Age vs gaming

I'm 24, can't believe i'm one of the youngest posting here.
I love gaming, play PC & Wii games, modern & old (you can download the original lemmings free now & it's awesome). Started back with an Atari ST 1040. Don't get a lot of time for it now as I have a 5 month old daughter, missus & work etc, so an hour here & there. Sometimes I get a good session in though & can't imagine giving up :)

31 and will never stop playing games (mostly PC) BUT! i noticed the kind of game i play has changed. 10 years ago it was all FPS and 3rd person Adventures (ie Tomb Radiers/Quake series) nowadays is more racers and stratagy games

I'm 45 been gaming for the last ten years - PC only ! - Just bought a Dedi box, I'm with a group of fairly mature players, whom we have know each other for 4 years.

They are like my extended family. We have quite a few meets, Went to Prague last year to shoot real AK's UZI's and the likes. Today its quad bikes and a ****-up - stag do -. I'll more than likely game till I die.

We play mostly CoD4, CSS, GunGame, Insurgency, DesertCombat and BF3 when it comes out.

25, still got a ways to go to catch some folk up :(

My dad plays some games with me though (mostly Carcassonne type things) although he's very into GTA 3/VC/SA in a big way and has expressed an interest in GTA4 on the 360 and has even gone as far as to pay for it :D !

I feel there may be blood fighting over this one :D

Oh sorry - he's 59! :D

31, and game across modern day 360, PC, Wii and DS formats. Some older formats as well from time to time.

Will almost certainly pick up a PS3/PSP at some point. Hours a week depends on how busy I am with real life.

Well I'm 61 in August and still play games.I am more selective in what I buy now, prefer the First Person Shooter,Crysis,Stalker sort of games.

Also have PS3 - DS (X2) - PSP Slim - and a Wii

Age is no barrier.

33 and I've had just about every home computer through the 80's. Consoles upto the dreamcast/ps2 age. Lost interest around then.

As i've got older I go out less than I did in my 20's, my friends from my 20's are now spread out across the globe and it's been a good way to keep base with them rather than a joke email once a month.

I'd honestly rather do that these days that £20 for a taxi into town to drink a £3 pint which I've sobered up queing for.

Its also a nice way for krono to groom Alrik ;)

I used to play around 8 hours a day, but now it’s been months since I’ve played anything. Just don’t feel like gaming anymore really. I’m 23 by the way.

hi

im 23 , i mainly game on my ps3 , i dont play as much as i used to but i still play the odd hour when i can. i still like playing games but it gets harder to get the time to play them when you get older mainly due to work and that.

I'm 31, I used to game in most of my free time, but these days I play a few hours a week. It goes it fits and starts, sometimes weeks can pass with out playing a game, then some weeks I find myself with plenty of spare time, and access to the tele (Girlfriend thinks its for watching house programs and bad soaps!!), so I'll play more.
I'm planning on buying a house later on this year, one with more space, and will be dedicating a room to home cinema/gaming. That should resolve the tele issue.

33 & still playing.

Started on the Dragon 32 & moved through the usual Spectrum, Amstrad, Amiga route before PC's.

Now console only for gaming, 360 on a huge plasma with surround sound is fantastic :)

Im 41 and have been playing games since space invaders came out.
I probably play more on my computer playing MMOG's a bit of CS and Battlefield but Ive also had most of the consoles and have a PS3 at the moment that my son is playing on as I type this.
Im sure Ill always keep playing games and belong to a large online group (we dont call our selves a clan) who are all of a similar age.
Even my dad who is close to 70 plays MS flight simulator online with a bunch of guys at least once a week, try phoning him after 8pm on a Sunday and my mum is on strict instructions not to disturb him :)

32 started with the good ole c64 (though my m8 had a rubber speccy i'd play tranzam on) moved to Amiga then A1200 then to PC. (p60 pentium) Will be back to ps3 film/gaming in late summer. :D

I'm 25 and had two older brothers who were into gaming, well computers anyway. A Spectrum 48k was the first computer I played on, had most myself or in the family since then. If I'm not out or at work I'm usually gaming as I live on my own and it is what I enjoy doing.
