***Air Fryer recipe, tips and photos thread***

I've not got an air fryer, but I reckon some fresh sardines or mackerel just lightly brushed in oil and done in an air fryer on the highest temp it will go would give pretty good results.

I love mackerel but it stinks the whole place out for days, I just couldn't do that to myself. I bet it would be good though.

Slap in some bacon for bacon sarnies, less phaff than grilling, zero mess, can do a whole pack in one go if required.

I cook everything on mine now, barely use the oven.

Mines is also a pressure cooker, pressure cook a full chicken and then air fry for some crispy skin. No dishes, no mess and done in 30 mins - brilliant!

For fries/chips if a packet states 20-25 minutes at 200°C I usually do it at the same temp (others have stated they use lower temps) for a cook time of around 14-16 minutes.

Cheese toastie as above is so nice :)

Here's a question. If you cook a roast chicken, can you make gravy directly in the machine afterwards?
Would be awkward as the lid needs to be on but I'd say it was doable(stir, heat, stir heat) , have to use silicon for a stirrer though as you won't want to scratch off the coating.

I think someone in the other air fryer thread asked about cooking a pie in the air fryer. I cooked one (from frozen too) last night. 180c on bake for 35-40 mins. Came out perfectly cooked. The oven times said 50 mins so definitely some time/energy savings there. I even had zone 2 air frying some wedges. My IHD didn't once go orange or red like the oven does.
