Air fryers

My only attempt at jacket potatoes and they got really dark on the outside before the inside was soft/cooked and that's on the roast setting. What's the secret?
Only tried them the once in the Ninja AF400

Pricked and cleaned potatoes at 10-15 minutes in the microwave at 800W for me (I do 15 minutes for a potato that goes through the ricer with ease) and then finish off in the air fryer at recommended settings for your model.
I would guess around 10microwave + 5airfryer.

I just put them in at about 170c for about 50 minutes.

I find it means overcooked bacon. Fine if you like super overdone bacon I guess.
I like it on a silly hot pan for 1 minute each side.

Stuff like chicken thighs, jacket potatoes, Yorkshire pudding I find best so far.
You know you can keep checking on the bacon? You don’t have to wait until it’s finished cremating your bacon before you take it out?

I on the weekend, succumbed to the pull of an air fryer…. Its now in the outside kitchen so i can do chips, onion rings and garlic mushrooms, without leaving a fat fryer outside.

Its a Tower Vortx Dual Draw, before anyone asks.

Anyone bought racks for the drawers (AF400) or simply thrown sausages, bacon in and hoped for the best? :D
My AF400 came with racks included as a special offer, I wouldn't say they are essential as it makes turning what you are cooking a bit of a pain. If I'm cooking up 4 large pieces of chicken though it can be handy, two on the bottom and two on the rack, chips in the other drawer.

Loving my AF400 that I bought on Prime day. I've done mainly jacket potatoes and marinated chicken so far and results have been excellent. I pre cook the potatoes in the microwave so the air fryer is just crisping up the skin, but even so they're really nice and fluffy.
