Models have a nice fit, Tamiya are a good model, can be expensive and range is a bit limited

I'd say tamiya and Hasegawa, with Hobbyboss and Trumpeter coming up a close second. What scale are you looking to buy? The tree main ones are 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 with 1/24 being the big stuff.
hasegawa and Trumpeter do harriers of varying marks and variants. Have a look at "hannants.co.uk" and you can navigate to exactly whats available on the home page. Hope this helps.

Not me. I keep my tools in the toolbox

My paints live in a plastic container but my airbrush sits in a stand on my desk with the compressor underneath. My brushes and scalpels live in a mug and my sundries and accessories sit out on the desk too.

I'm reasonably lucky I've got a bit of an area dedicated to modelling. Worktop, cubpoards. extractor all neatly to hand, missus doesn't like it much but I refuse to use the shed.

Im going to have to do all my modeling on the dinning room table

I was just going to put a cloth over it and use the cutting board. Keep everything in a toolbox so its easy to put away and keep safe

Due to being off work atm with a busted foot, I've decided to make a start on the Tamiya 1/32 Spitfire I posted a pic earlier on in this thread. If anyones interested I'll post up some progress pics if you like.

Challenger 2 is missing in action along with the Tornado and a Harrier

was working on a little display for them 3

probably left the boxes in a cupboard somewhere in the old house

I think the Revell Harrier Gr7/9 is a Hasegawa reboxed, Revell seem to do this a lot. Can be had for little money. Although if my memory serves me correct there is some minor problems with the lerx or something like that, but a few companys have a resin part that usually just fits right in to solve it.

Edit - Yea its 100% a hasegawa reboxed just double checked

How do you enhance the lines and grooves such as flaps etc on models?

Also, anyone know who would do a model of the Sulaco from Aliens ?

Most new models have the panel lines sunk into the model, so you can just paint into them to show the panel lines, or use a very thin paint to run into them, older models might need sanding smooth then carefully scoring in the appropriate panel lines, its a delicate line to follow as sometimes the panel lining can be too strong, or too weak.

The panel lines are picked out using a "wash". Usually nothing more than very thin paint which is painted over the entire kit, allowed to "settle" for a few minutes, then the excess is wiped off leaving the panel lines full of the paint so they stand out against the base colour.
That the VERY simplified version, theres umpteen variations on that technique but theres plenty of info available, just use google for bucketloads of demos.

Halcyon 1/2400 scale, and not very big.

You'll be very lucky to find it as the Halcyon Aliens range is long out of production and snapped up by collectors eager to hoard rather than build, consequently if you ever see one it will be up for silly money

The model gives me the numbered reference for each part, but Revell do an Enamel and Acrylic pot same colour same reference number.

As an acrylic only user, I'm always going to give you a biased reply, however enamels do give a much harder wearing finish, if you can put up with the smell and clean-up

I made the switch to Acrylics earlier this year and i wouldnt go back to using Enamels full time now, they can be messy and hard to clean up, cleaning the brushes stinks, the only enamels i use now are Silver/Steel, bronze and gold colours as they seem to give a better metallic finish to me.Oh and i use the Revell Aqua Acyrlics and i love them, BUT only buy the matt version in the Aqua's the silk matts dont brush very well at all.
