Airsoft ??

Love airsoft been playing since i started uni 2 years back, didn't realise this place had a thread on it.
Heard the school in Rochdale mentioned a page or so ago in this thread, we went as a society about a week ago. Was the single gayest day ive had, the games were unorganised and missed out half of the site, a lot of the marshals didnt know what games we were playing or the current rules. Its a shame it looked liek it could have been an amazing place and the players there were great but the marshals were just useless and ruined the experience.

Was this the first and only game at balderstone school 3 weeks ago?

Probably was, I had a great day apart from that said incident. We were told we would have 10mins after briefing to mag up, so me and my mates went to mag up only to come back into the live zone finding out the game had already started! Other than that it was a great day,

This time we have to meet mate :)

Yeh I'll look out for you, I'll be wearing big ESS goggles that you can miss.

Some of gear for lighter loadout, full CIRAS plate carrier was just too much.

That was a major complaint for me. Two marshalls run it differently, Sam is really strict and has people organised and back to briefing, Jamie runs it at a 'relaxed' pace but that ends up with people getting confused and wasting time.

That's a KWA sig m226 with a custom slide with the trades etc.

But in this weather I use a Tokyo Marui Glock 17 as it never fails in the cold for me so far. The KWA will refuse to fire after a mag in the cold.

Every time I see this thread it makes me want to go along to an Airsoft event.

Scared of just turning up on my own, might ask a couple of mates o go as well.

Don't be mate, I've gone on my own a few times. The Airsoft community as a hole is awesome. Everyone is friendly, welcoming to new guys and will help you throughout the day. You could even go to a half day event if you feel a full day would be too daunting, First and Only hold them on week nights :)

Dont be! I thought that id be really intimidated but I wasnt at all. All the marshals were really friendly and the players even more so. In fact I left with a couple of phone numbers (not gay:p) saying they would let me know when they next play and get some sort of a team arranged!

The only problem is I do not have any kid of boots I could wear, only an old pair of trainers from paintballing, is that going to be OK to play in for my first time?

Naturally if I enjoy it I'll invest in some boots.

For Urban trainers are fine, it's when yor playing in muddy woodland when you need boots.
