Airsoft ??

That is so nice !! Loving the black/tan colour combo too, picked that for my G33. Tempted :p

Isn't it just, makes a heap of difference to how it looks.
Already got my eye on an Angry gun ksv supressor, and a Tokyo arms small keymod rail in tan of course.

Vector is really nice, I want to get the GBB version one day.

Had some awesome games last night, first 30 seconds in the game, ran as fast as I could into the enemies section and came up behind them, climbed these stairs on their side and found 4-5 guys all together, gave them the blast of the grenade launcher, got all four at once.

Later on, the same guys was in this dark fire corridor, pushed the door open, gun didn't fire, I must had it on safety or single, one of them rushed to close the door and put his weight behind it.

That wasn't going to stop me, so I pretty much body slammed the door and sent the poor guy flying, fired my grenade launcher at them again while at the same time getting shot by them. :p

Really need to start recording my stuff, been looking at cameras lately, need to get a decent one that works in low light conditions.

Most sites I've played are against anything like that/would ask you to leave.

Yeah my site is a lot better then most :D, we really don't restrict people too much. Most people who play are adults.

Only major rules we have is we not allowed 12g blanks and flash blanks. But normal 9g blanks are fine. Bang rules for players if too close to fire, but for some games and depending who is playing, we sometimes have a game where we can ignore that rule, but most people are gentleman and will take a bang kill still.

Overkilling and blind firing are also banned and no gas grenades in the fire corridor since it will set the fire alarm off. :D

That said, after slamming the door open, I asked the guy if he was alright. :)

Would hate to play at some sites that I seen, they restrict so much things, like not being allowed to fire through something that you can't fit your head inside? LOL

Or you can't full auto if the target is within 30m.

Not that I don't understand why they do that, I just don't agree with it. People need to man up. :D

At the end of the day it's down to what the site's insurance lets them. Most places I've been have had minimum engagement range of 20m for snipers / DMRs as they're allowed up to 400-500fps, which you most definitely feel if it hits flesh!

Airsoft World are good - their website isn't the best but I actually went to their physical store on Saturday (where I ended up getting the TM MK23 - the ASG version was, annoyingly, out of stock) and was very impressed with their level of service and knowledge.

Game Day yesterday we played at Viper Strike near Dundee. Wasn't the worst game day I've been to, but not the best either. Rules and boundaries weren't explained all too well at the start of each game which led to confusion and butt-hurt from some people; as well as a few instances of people blatantly not taking hits - watching your BB float perfectly straight on to someone's noggin', ricochet up and them flinch and look around before continuing does get a bit tiresome. Definitely nowhere near as bad as other places though.

I was very impressed with the MK23s first outing. Chrono'd at a steady 325fps on 0.2s, but I spent the day playing with 0.3s. I'll never get bored of floating silent BBs out and watching people panic - the SRS suppressor I bought work really well. Highlight of the game was an attack and defend scenario where the defenders top line falls back as the attackers push. Me and my three mates held our own down a little side alley between some cow sheds, them all lighting up with their guns, me being perfectly still prone in the grass. They all eventually got hit and the attacking line pushed beyond where I was. Radio'd my mate to ask the one of the marshalls if I was still considered to be in play - his response was as I hadn't pushed beyond the line and they had simply failed to clear the area, I could go ham on them. Cue railing 8 people in the back as I walked round the building whilst the other 20 or so people on their team didn't have a clue, whilst the marshalls were having a good chuckle.

The eventual onslaught of 6 guns going full auto made me flinch a bit :D

People need to man up.

The Mall runs a tight ship and are very safety conscious; which is fine with me! I go to play a sport not to fight people and loose teeth.

realise the irony of some of the sites i play (mainly outdoors) work along the lines of "sure full auto is fine at any range) and yet all the cqb sites are all semi only.

also realising the irony that i only have 1 gun that reliably fires semi and that's my dmr :D

finally got a pic of my arsenal (minus mg42):

jow1FLh.jpg

top is my most patriotic jg ak, little devil of a thing on 11.1

mid is my first love, although not exactly handy with the 203 on it

bottom is my cursed m4, when it works it's a freakish laserbeam of death when it works... currently have it set to 3rnd burst not because of my goodwill to my fellow man but because i dont want the gearbox to blow up.

not pictured i have a we sig 226 (freakish laserbeam of death), we makarov (smaller freakish laserbeam of death), we luger (a prop, shoots terribly) and kwc 1911 (who's only redeeming feature is it theoretically works in winter but in reality doesnt work most of the time) and of course the big boy, who's currently undergoing surgery for a bent reciever after i dropped it.

So i've got a question, out of curiosity can you carry more then one main weapon, like a sniper rifle with a carbine?

you can carry as many guns as you want, but you'll quickly realise why primary and pistol is generally the standard.

when it comes to sniping you could do a small carbine like an mp7 or suchlike, although most just run pistols.

the only time i carry 2 primaries is when the mg is going out on the field, in which case it's pretty much set up as a static gun for defensive games and left behind when attacking in favour of something you can realistically fire from the shoulder.

film industry, re-enactors, that sort of thing.

ukara is just the specific airsofters database, all it's really useful for is buying online, otherwise all you have to do is convince the seller you're a legit airsofter, for example my local shop doesnt bother checking me any more because they've known me long enough.

UKARA is just a poorly managed means to an ends. The onus is on the seller to be confident that the purchaser has a valid defence to buy and use a realistic imitation firearm.

Airsoft world accept a cosplayer thing that my mate has - essentially revolves around purchasing public liability insurance for cosplaying and using that membership number as the defence.

If you visit shops in person and get to know the staff / they get to know you then there is an element of trust that can be built - even better if the shop has their own airsoft site.

Just gotta think how awkward it is carryin 2 long guns

Luckily my local airsoft place has their own shop in the city. so yeh they'll get to know me soon enough, first game this sunday. Wonder if i can convince him to sell to me after 1 game :D

Whats the deal with selling 2nd hand stuff these days? I used to play a while ago but I have been out the loop for some time. I used to just trade locally with other local players at game days.
