Akasa Eclipse 62's Club... Desktop & Machines.

Will the eclipse be sufficient to cool 2 x 1TB harddrives and 2 x 4870's in crossfire? With only a 120mm fan at the front and one at the back. My computer gets left on for days at a time while its rendering video footage at 80% usage or something around that.

Yeah should be fine. If you want some extra fans in the case then get the omega since you can add two at the side and top as well as the front and back.

I'd convert the front bays in to another filtered intake.

Just ordered a Akasa 62 Eclipse, with the Scythe Kama-Bay, the Akasa Side window and the Paxmate absorbtion mat.

I'm going to take the bottom HD areas out, take the fans out and replace them with UV Orange ones, have UV Cathodes in and before the components are even inside, i'd already be in love with it :)

Sweet looking forward to some pics of that!

so how you getting the harddrive mounted in the top?

I'm just about to order the omega again (I know i said i was ordering the mirage, but i'm thinking of water cooling at some point) and i'm going to install it right by the top vent with one of these.

Zalman HDD Cooler

And just let it passively cool its self, I didnt want to do that before as the heat had no where to go but on the omega it does :)

The i'm going to stick a 2000rpm on the intake and 1000rpm on the exhaust.

Don't think Ive posted this in here yet. Its a mod i did a couple of years ago to enable my Silentmaxx hdd enclosures to be suspended in bungee cord. The little rubber things you get to fit the enclosure in the optical bay are rubbish and just transfer all the vibration to the case. This mod gives the best of both worlds and the hdds are silent.

Currently building my new rig into the case so I'll stick some pics up later

Cheers, not sure on lighting yet, i might put a cathode in at some point. Needs the cables neatening up and some better sata cables, i just used the ones that came with the mobo.
