Could I stick them in the washing machine you think on a low setting?
 
I wouldn't put memory foam in the washing machine... Just use wipes like I said above, it just works.
 
They might do an initial drop with international shipping, if not you can always go through a postal forwarding services like acme has with this drop.
 
Mine have no rattle, I tested using the bass wave mp3 file someone posted in the head-fi thread. Headphones are sweet :D

Sold the Q701 btw, got £95 for them. Exactly what I paid originally :D
 
I guess the cheap price has compromises in build and qc., thats China and a bulk buy for you. The silver lining will be how AKG or Massdrop resolve these issues.
 
There is some in the Q701 but my NAD amp smooths it nicely and keeps it nice and warm. By contrast the K7XX I found to have no such thing in the same manner, the mids are more detailed and "!pop" at the mid to high end a bit which is sweet.
 
Ah ok. The original Annie had vocals that were intimate with a warm slightly thick sound, almost HD650 like. Do you find that with the K7xx? It's good that they don't appear peaky. The K712 would be perfect if it didn't have that horrible peak.
 
I think I need more time to tell for sure but so far so good, it's everything I liked about the Q701 modded but just with a shade less bass and a shade less treble sparkle and with more smoothness, having listened a lot more since last posting.
 
Still waiting for mine :-(

Quite enjoying my K550s though now I've used them a few times. Will be interesting to see the improvement / differences to the k7xx's
