Alan Partridge back next month

Haven’t watched it yet but I will say I’ve never enjoyed the studio Alan stuff... knowing me knowing you etc.

Much prefer classic partridge s1 and s2.

Is this in the former format? :(

If anyone is into Audiobooks, I highly recommend "I, Partridge" and "Nomad" , both are superb and listening to Alan Partridge read his tales is hilarious.

Lots of little touches to pick up on, like one of the segments he was walking down the street and some shouted ****er at him and you could hear it faintly in the background and you could see him trying to not react...

The handwashing section and the part where side kick Simon is trying to operate the touch screen, were the best parts imo. The rest was "meh".

This line had me corpsing, classic partridge "Imagine going into a newsagent, and ordering, not a can of coca cola,.. but a can of coca colera!" :D Preceded by people in the street shouting "****er"
to him. :D

Just to contradict what I said before - The part with Simon trying to operate the touchscreen, actually made no sense. Why would he be so technologically inept? Especially given that in some Mid Morning Matters episodes he reads out tweets and interacts with people online. Just seemed odd.

I thought the same.

He's the tech savvy of the two, and in the last episode of Mid morning matters, he comes back from a failed job interview and reboots the system for Alan, to get callers back.

Why would OAP (Old Alan Partridge) know how a modern touchscreen with Twitter works?

"Welcome, Alice Clunt!..."
"It's Alice Fluck."
"Right, I see what I did there."

:D

Also forgot about the hacktivist interview. That was funny. :D

the previous scenarios he has been the boss with arrogance and self-righteous, smug attitude that other players had to subscribe too,
in this latest he is just a colleague so he has lost that power so the outrageous behaviour is reigned in ... that's where I think it looses.
probably absence of ascerbic Armando Iannucci, too.

I saw it because he was being fed the instructions through the earpiece. At least the first time. I'm not AP expert but I'd imagine he's slightly autistic/etc. so once they'd gone through the steps once/twice he was just memorising that rather than actually 'knowing' how it worked.
