Alex Jones..

It's all very well having a moral position on 'free speech', but when the real world effect is a resounding negative, such as with this chap, then you should really sit back and question the rigidity of your morals.

That applies to any firmly held moral belief. We should be flexible, or else we are just more fundamentalists.

Which is the biggest negative? Living in a world where legal things are censored according to 'terms & conditions' which aren't open to any outside debate whatsoever, with the intention of sanitising all content so that everything is perfectly safe 100% of the time?

Or

Living in a world where people can make up their own minds and exercise freedom of choice, where we absorb the fact that sometimes - what people say might hurt a little or even a lot?

I don't agree with some of the stuff he comes out with but it's amusing to watch him at times. I do enjoy some of the other reporters on INFO Wars.

Political censorship with the midterms coming up, It's only the start and will only get worse for those deemed to be on the right.

I'll have to check him out if they have banned him, thanks OP!

If you fidn inciting hatred against families who have had their children shot by pretending it is all some conspiracy to ban guns amusing then go ahead. The moron belongs in jail.

I like him. Hopefully he will find some other platform. It's like the Gestapo have turned the screws.

Nothing much else to add.

It's proper political collusion. If you don't want to listen then don't.

I agree he made a big mistake with Sandy Hook though. Probably his downfall.

Texans are traditionally pretty brash though compared to a lot of other American's, I think I'm right in saying that.

How does he make money from it. He's admitted he trolls at times but I still fail to see how he's making money from trolling.

None so blind...

This isn't about free speech, even if you think there is an issue with corporations and not the govt being able to ban from their platforms. This is about a disgustingly offensive pathological (actually just money-grabbing) liar who knowingly and deliberately spouts offensive, ignorant, dangerous, false nonsense regularly being treated appropriately.

but they're actually altering society, by enforcing standards and policies which are more powerful and wider reaching [globally] than literally any lawmaker can ever be.

They're enforcing standards and policies that cannot extend beyond their corporations. No different to the legacy mainstream media.

In one swoop, these companies have the power to totally alter what everybody sees <in the whole world>, with no real debate or wider engagement, merely a statement that reads something along the lines of 'due to violations of xyz' or 'we want to provide a safe environment for everyone' etc.

Last time I checked, these corporations did not control what everybody sees in the whole world. They control what people see on their platforms, and who generates the content on their platforms? Their users.

The fuss about alleged censorship is hilarious. At any given moment you can visit YouTube, Facebook or Twitter and pull up as many pages from every part of the political spectrum imaginable, from SJWs to racists and the alt right.

I found this without even trying. Took me about 3 seconds:

Alex Jones is full of ****. Is it OK to have someone spread blatant lies under the guise of free speech? I'm not sure, personally.

You have to have a screw loose to believe what he says, and should those people with screws loose be subjected to his rubbish? Probably not.

I'm glad that they've banned him. I strongly agree with the video below - YouTube is a platform created to make money. It's a private company, and people pay for adverts, which in turn leads to profit and to creators getting paid. Therefore, they can show whatever the hell they want.

I hope Alex Jones drops off the face of the earth.

He's doing his job. He's a public commentator and is keeping the/a conversation going, analyzing all sides of the equation. Even when he's now gone people will analyse him for all his good and bad qualities.

Some of you in here are harsh - you can't find anything good about him?

He's trying to expose the Catholic Church by having experts on, he's trying to highlight the issues in South Africa, South America and other places.

Trying to examine whether 4g or 5g is causing cancer, highlighting the problems with chemicals in the food, water and pharmaceuticals.

Trying to expose corrupt politicians, celebrities(like Weinstein) and corrupt company practices.

No. No he isn't. He spreads disgusting lies, screams nonsense at the camera, and all to make money for himself. You need to go and find a clue.

Still though, they would buy the supplements anyway, your honestly telling me people listen to a troll segment and then think, 'oh I think I'll buy vitamin D now'.

Sad to say yes people will buy whatever he puts in front of them, seems to be a common occurrence in the good old US, Doesn't apply purely to him either most of the TV Dr's are at it too.
