Aliens : Colonial Marines - FPS ( They're back ! )

SEGA today confirmed it is delaying the release of Aliens: Colonial Marines until later this fall. The game was previously expected this spring, and here's more on the delay:

The game was originally scheduled to ship this coming spring. 'Aliens: Colonial Marines is a process of creativity and invention and those don't necessarily follow the structure of an assembly line,' SEGA and Gearbox Software said in a statement sent to Game Informer.

'While setting clear goals, deadlines and predictions is helpful, they are often subjective. We don't want to sacrifice the creative process just for the sake of following a blue print. We prefer to have the creative discovery shape that blue print because our goal is to make a great game, and we are prioritizing this goal over the previously targeted date.'​

If they make it as good as a modern AVP should be, they can take another couple of years as far as I am concerned. Loved the game, AVP 2 was quite disappointing imo

The press release reads as "the game is crap, need more time to fix it" I wouldn't be suprised if this never makes it to release.

A new trailer is out though, all pre rendered but certainly sets the right tone

I'm looking forward to this, am pretty sure I will enjoy the Single Player the most, but I be more interested in if they can get COOP done right.

I really hope it will work as good as LFD2 does!

Best AVP game to date was the one on the Atari Jaguar, that smart gun on the last level was immense with all them aliens coming at you, then you hear the croak of the Predator!! I still can't sleep now

THis needs some suspense and sneaking, not just endless action/shooting. Looking good though.

And some motion tracker bleeping and seeing nothing even though the tracker says they're only metres away but you can't see or hear a thing, then suddenly all hell breaks loose. I just hope that it's not too scripted. I don't want to play it 5 times then know exactly where they're coming from and when to start shooting.

The eye-candy looks good but will they honour the movies and give it the endless tension that had us biting our nails. As someone else mentioned above I hope its not all gonna be run n gun. Otherwise just name it Doom: Alien Edition.

BTW if this game is ever released I see a mod coming out to duct-tape the tracker to your weapon

AVP was great, AVP2 was amazing and my first online experience!! But the new AVP was a disappointment, hopefully the marines can deliver something better.
