Aliens : Colonial Marines - FPS ( They're back ! )

Not surprising hearing early thoughts about the game. A lot of us in this thread had a lot of doubt in our minds after seeing the gameplay footage last year. AVP 1 + 2 were awesome games and everything since then has been very iffy. Such a shame!

Wash your mouth out with soap and water Moog. Don't make me go all Jackie Chan on yo ass. Really looking forward to this game, just a few more days to wait. I've been watching all the alien films from the first to prometheus over the past few days as a teaser.

I just pray its good after all the hype. This trailer gets the old mouth watering.

I was looking forward to it too. The walk through vid above looks awful, I would not watch it if you are worried about spoilers as it is the first 40 odd mins of the game.

It's not getting the best of write ups on the net either. There was a 6/10 review but it was removed. Always a sign of a bad game when the developer fights to get early reviews taken down.

We'll see. I'm not expecting battlefield 3 here. I just want a game that is true to the alien series, has a good story campaign, has a co-op campaign that i can play with friends and has a fun multiplayer. If those conditions can be met ill be happy.
 
Hmm, the word is that it's not very good and almost a complete console rehash on PC. Going to cancel my pre-order. If it's good I can still get it at the end of the month.
 
Got an email this morning saying mines been shipped (£19.99) Really like the Alien universe and keeping everything crossed for this as it's too late to cancel.

I've actually heard the opposite: the campaign is decent, particularly when you can enjoy it and have a laugh with other people in co-op, but the multiplayer is decidedly generic.

Anyway, that's what I've read from other people (staying away from videos so as to not spoil anything), but I'll only be able to form a true opinion when I play it on Tuesday with some mates.

I see all the people complaining about graphics but at the end of the day graphics is the least of the problem here :)

I've been quite happily playing:

- Left for Dead 2
- Half life 1 / 2
- Aliens Vs Predators

Those 3 games were hardly graphical intensive like BF3 but they were so much fun because it concentrated on the game play. Im hoping this game is similar to those.
