Assuming they have excess stock of the previous panel and want to ship them - so they're adjusting the coating to a glossy coating and pushing the brightness higher to make it more appealing.
I'm interested to see what they're doing to handle VRR flicker though, some OLED monitors handle it better than others but it's ultimately always going to be an issue on OLED monitors.

Coincidentally, ASUS have just announced a new 27" WOLED monitor that they claim has anti-flicker tech to deal with VRR OLED flicker. It's also glossy which is rare for WOLED. Need to see more of this anti-flicker tech though - it's probably just marketing spiel.

Does have the ugly raised tri-feet stand of their other OLED monitors either so if this really does fix VRR flicker then it could be a very nice display!

That's rubbish if true. And pretty deceptive if they're claiming it as a proprietary tech!

All they're doing is reducing the VRR window with 3 settings? High (VRR from 240-200), Medium (240-120) and then off (VRR normal full range) - so unless you can keep the framerate in range it's essentially useless. But if you can keep the framerate in the range then it should significantly help?
It doesn't really address the main problem people had though, if your average frame rates are in the 150s but you get drops to high 90s then it's just not going to make a difference.
TBH I'm happily playing with VRR off now, I've not really struggled with any noticeable screen tearing but I'm probably just ignoring it...

The notes list the monitor incorrectly as AW2725QF when it should be AW2725DF so I hope that isn't a sign that this is the AW3225QF and not the AW2725DF. I assume the AW3225DF is already supported?

Has anyone here switched from the AW3423DW/F to the AW3225QF? I'm getting more and more tempted by the day, as I've always preferred non-curved and the increased resolution will actually come in handy outside of gaming.

It's a pretty minor curve in comparison to your usual curved monitors.

The Guru3D page here: https://www.guru3d.com/download/geforce-55585-whql-driver-download/ lists the following (although, oddly, I cannot see this information on the NVIDIA/GeForce sites):
"The update also extends the G-SYNC compatibility, with 11 new display models from manufacturers such as ASUS, Dell, Philips, IO-Data, and LG now validated as G-SYNC compatible. This validation ensures a smoother, tear-free experience on displays that support variable refresh rates."
So it looks like it just adds G-SYNC certification to the driver, which might not mean anything as the AW3225QF was already certified and still has the same VRR flickering as the previously uncertified AW2725DF.
I'll confirm whether it is (a) certified; and (b) whether it does anything to improve the flickering with G-SYNC, when I get home in about 30 minutes...
*UPDATE*
OK, so I have installed the new 555.85 driver and the NVIDIA control panel still says that my AW2725DF is not certified as G-SYNC compatible so it looks like the information was wrong and likely should have read AW3225QF not AW2725QF. How disappointing. Good news though for owners of the AW3225QF, I guess.
