Just cancelled my Dell order and bought the Acer before it sold out ( only 5 left on amazon). With Amazon 2 year cover on electronics and the cheap sale price, like others said, its a no-brainer. The Alienware did look awesome but as more reviews come in it looks like the Acer has a more stable OC to 120hz anyways.

So, my Alienware turned up last night, was supposed to be delivered on Friday. Some excuse about it arriving late at the hub so not being dispatched until the next working day 
Well so far it's been worth the wait; this panel is awesome. I can see why people couldn't wait with long lead times. It's a shame as I think you would have been impressed by this monitor, especially if you'd gotten the discount which matched the deal on the Acer. Now lets all hope our monitors don't go bang!

Received yesterday, monitor is a beast!
OC'd to 120Hz via OSD without issue. Not experienced any performance problems yet.
Colours are beautiful, very vibrant and uniform. I wasn't expecting such a contrast with S27 since it's one of the best TN's around but there is a really noticeable difference.
Minor uniformity issues in brightness at the edges of the panel, mainly with white backgrounds. Can see it a little with blue, can't see it with red, and black is perfect! The black on this could compete with my LG OLED. (Unlikely in a direct comparison, but it's still that good!)
None of the brightness issues are noticeable in games.
Zero dead/stuck pixels either!
Only gripe is the size of the box. I'm sure someone mentioned the boxes were getting smaller. This thing looked like it was holding a mini-generator.

There is a tiny corner bottom left that shows blb with a black background. Nowhere else.
Awww man, the saga continues for me. So I bought the Acer last night when it was showing that there was stock, but now apparently they are out and it will take a month to re-stock. Meanwhile I cancelled my Dell order, so it doesn't look like I will be getting an Ultrawide that I actually want in the near future.

You could always contact Dell as they have had several people cancel so may actually have stock available soon now.Don't want to rub it in but my X34P turned up today, absolutely flawless... no dead pixels, no back light bleed and the build quality is excellent, I'm glad I didn't wait for the Dell.

The site was showing that there were 6 left when I ordered, and I had to ring in as there was an additional charge being added when I went to the cart. It sucks pretty damn bad to be honest.

I was talking to a guy at customer service who said that on flash sales like that, the system can be slow to update. You may still get it in the next day or so. I'm not sure if I trusted the guy but he said that I literally got the last one and it would be shipping tomorrow. If that falls through maybe I will settle for something else though if Dell can't help either
