First pic shows backlights which were a nice bonus as I didn't know about them beforehand.
Arm was getting attached, then used the stand, now back to the arm.

Nice photos mate. Can I ask some questions?

  • Backlight bleed ok?
  • Dead/stuck pixels?
  • What’s IPS glow like?
  • What’s the dimming like at the top of the panel?
  • Notice any scam lines on gsync?
  • Can you have white on the accent strips?
  • What’s motion like?

Backlight bleed is minimal, only the bottom corner. I think they have overcompensated at the top with dimming - you can see there is a slightly dimmer strip along the top. This is common.
No dead/stucks
IPS glow was non-existent for me for a while. Having used it a lot, I only see it on very dark scenes when there is little ambient light in the room.
Not sure what scan lines are, nothing jumps out at me of the sort.
You can have any colour on the accent with the software
Motion is great, slightly better than my S27.

Having used it for a bit, I now realise that the S27 had temporamental banding issues, because this has absolutely none.

My only other beef aside from the minor niggles above is the screen surface is the most reflective of any monitor I've had in recent years. It is not strong, just noticeable on bright days.
Actually the dim bar was driving me nuts for a day or two, especially on web page tabs, but now I hardly notice it.

Overall I'm super happy with it, and I'm the kind of person who suffers from a lot of buyers remorse.

Awesome, I’m very glad you’re happy. Sounds like a beast of a monitor.

My rig is in the conservatory, we have blinds but even my dell u2412m is unplayable when it’s bright.

Think I need a better solution for sunlight before I splash out :(

Just pulled the trigger on this, got it for £1000, apparently the absolute best price they could do, after checking with a "manager". I'm happy with that, delivery due on 17th of May, but I am in the process of moving house so don't really need it until early May anyway...

Looking forward to this!

For this monitor and other similar ultrawides, to keep everything running smoothly, what would be the minimum Nvidia card to use? Would a 1080 be more than enough?

A 1080 should be fine, though not all games will run with everything set to max.

I have plans on running this or the upcoming LG using my 1070, so I'm hoping a 1080 is not required!

Well I bought this on 12th March and they gave me an ETA of 18th April. But seeing as some of you had shipping dates revised till May I had been getting a bit concerned. Anyway just checked now and it's been shipped today. Hope it's been worth the wait.
