Please please let it be ross brawn for the 2015 season.
Suppose it all depends on who fares better in 2014 for McLaren: Button or Magnussen. If its Magnussen, McLaren might want a more experienced driver for a few seasons until Magnussen gets some races, and perhaps wins, under his belt.I wouldn't think Alonso in 2015 would be the right choice anyways as he is only getting older!
Surely that would have depended on Ron wrestling control of the F1 team from Whitmarsh? So this was all pre-meditated on Ron's part and not a recent thing to save the team, sorry, constructor?Ive said it all along that Brawn will end up there and I stand by that.
Wow. Didn't think Ron would shaft Whitmarsh like this. I agree that McLaren have sunk since Whitmarsh took over.
Not in the years before Ron gave control to Martin no. It is remarkable that Ron handled Senna and Prost in the same team but couldn't handle Alonso and Hamilton. They weren't setting the world alight with Ron either. Whitmarsh has to go, but Ron isn't the answer either.
Really? Assumed he was OK with Button but I can see that if Button was a Whitmarsh signing, Ron mightn't have been too happy with it.Ron was never that great a fan of Button, so next year could be his last too.
Looks like we will have a new Team Principle soon then. Ron has tried on several occassions to remove MW from his role as Team Principle and now has the power to do so. If MW does step down from that role the question is who will fill it?
That says more for the mentality of Alonso than it does anyone else.It is remarkable that Ron handled Senna and Prost in the same team but couldn't handle Alonso and Hamilton.
