All change at McLaren

Hopefully Jenson is next to get the boot!

Bit harsh given his current circumstances, can't see why McLaren would get rid of him either. As long as the car is competitive he'll do a good job, although I do expect Magnussen to give him a hard time this year.

So a rumour doing the rounds (on Twitter at least) is that Sam Michael will be unveiled as Team Principal, possibly tomorrow.

Surely that makes as much sense as a Pastor Maldonado overtake manoeuvre?

Makes sense from an RD point of view, but surely thats a step down from even Whitmarsh????

edit thanks smr for the excuses - No 6 made me laugh aloud

Nothing but rumour at the moment.
is now favourite to land the job at McLaren.
That article and the others are all opinion pieces not fact.
there's been three sure bet new team principles at McLaren in under 24hrs. Its worse than silly season.

According the BBC, Whitmarsh hasn't been at the MTC since the 16th - when Dennis took control, and with with no mention/sight of him at the launch today it can only mean that's he out.

I'm not sure Boullier is the right man though. Lotus (IIRC) had a string of poor race strategy calls in the last couple of seasons, and wouldn't that have been Boullier's responsibility?

I always thought of Ron Dennis as a sane and calculating individual. So for the life of me, i can't think of a single reason he would want Boullier anywhere near McLaren. There is only one obvious guy for the job, we will just have to wait and see if Ross thinks it's worth taking a shorter holiday than planned.
