So single one OC'd is pretty much same performance as GTX470 SLI @ 800MHz... which is very decent performance but I've been enjoying it for over a year and only paid £300 for it

Yes it is decent result, single 7970@1125MHZ- 1830, price unknown(anywhere between £400-£550).

But my 6950>70 Crossfire@1GHz- 2237 @£400 that Iv'e had for nearly 1 year, I know what I'm keeping(although I have said that before)!

Subjectively how loud is the ref cooler versus a twin frozr II? I run mine at 45% under load (30% idle). Be interested in how well the cooler can cope with reduced fan speeds as well - I hate my machine sounding like a hovercraft at launch.

I'm intrested in real world performance over a 580 3gb and 3gbsli and weather or not they run without crashes on bf3 and does it look as good as last time I went ati the games never looked as good, also I want no slowdown when in smoke on bf3
However for me they need to be 10% faster than the 580s or be under £300 as 580s are old tech now and will be replaced very soon and by something that should be 10% faster minimum

92c is massive my 480s on air overclocked don't hit 92 and that's in an 800d

They're also slower, louder and I'm going to assume there's only 2 of them rather than three?

There renound for being hot, people slate them because of how hot they are so if there hotter than 480s it's very relevant plus I'm talking hours of battlefield not a 10 min bench so 90 in 10 mins is massively hot

I use 2560x1600 for gaming.

They only occur in the first few frames as the benchmark starts.

The frame rate for the remaing 99.99% of the benchmark will be much higher.

As he said - the minimum fps tells no real story with Heaven (or most benchmarks) unless you know what percentage of the time the framerate was below 30.

I can run the heaven benchmark 10x in a row and get anything from 7fps to 58fps minimum with a GTX470 SLI setup.

The reason the 2560 res bench's are important as most mutli gpu of this gen will struggle there...

1080p is easy compared and will max any game out there with 6950's at that res but not so to speak at 2560

And these are the people who will be buying this card in a multi gpu set up....

Unless your like one guy i saw on youtube with 4x 3gb 580's running it on a 1080 screen .....
