so because a lot of other clubs are interested in bale, you want to bet me £2 he's still at spurs come start of the season?

i think you've missed my point. i want him to be at spurs, doesn't change the fact a lot of clubs are interested in him.

'Interest' and buying a player are two very different things.

'Interest' for all intense and purpose is pointless, if a play is good, of course there will be en mass of European sides interested in him, it's irrelevant until someone makes a formal offer.

Spurs, will ask for a stupidly high fee for Bale, I can't see him moving unless it's for a lot of money.

See, I just want to bet you a pound because I don't think "a lot" of other clubs are actually interested in Gareth Bale.

Whoop de doo, he can run fast. So can Theo Walcott, and no-one's going to buy him either.

I can't see Bale leaving, for some reason he's a darling of the Brit media but I very much doubt teams outside England are seriously interested in signing him. Don't get me wrong I will lol my face off if Barca sign him for 35 million or something stupid but I just don't see it happening.

and neither can i. doesn't mean it wont have an effect on him, hence my ''unfortuanetly a lot of clubs do'' reply in response to the poster who said they don't rate him. barca seem to rate him but hey, the posters on here who don't rate him obviously know better.

I think there are probably a good number of clubs that have Bale on their radar, but nothing more then that.

He's had an interesting season, he looks good when he's playing wide left. He's looked useless trying to do anything else.

I think his crossing is ~ok, and he's got pace in abundance but I can't say other then his pace he has too much about him to leave an impression on me.

Barca in double-swoop for Bale and Walcott. Groundsman to extend length of pitch by 10 metres to accomodate the SHEER PACE.

then you are a bit deluded. his price tag will put most clubs off and he'd be in most clubs starting line up.

Would he really?

I mean the ~only clubs that ~could sign him are really the European elite and is he really good enough to walk in to their starting line up?

:o

Can see someone like Sunderland going for Holt. They'll be losing Bendtner back to Arsenal and will need to replace his misses with goals.

Bendtner 1 goal for every 7.75 shots, 1 goal for every 2.8 shots on target.

Suarez, 1 goal for every 11.6 shots, 1 goal for every 4.4 shots on target.

RVP 1 goal for every 5.8 shots, 1 goal for every 2.7 shots on target.

Which player is Bendtner closer to in finishing, which player plays for the worst club, which player cost the most, plays for a decent team, and is the second biggest **** in the league.

Wow, Cisse, 1 goal for every 3 shots , 1 goal for every 1.6 shots on target...... guys a beast.

Just for the laugh of it, Carroll, 1 goal for every 22 shots, Downing, no goals in 72 shots.... caculating error when trying to divide by zero :p

Why draw such conclusions from individual stats? What if Cissé's one goal in every three shots comes from shots on the goal line, where he somehow manages to miss 2/3 of shots, where even Andy Carroll would score?! :p
Bendtner: clear cut chances 11, goals scored from clear cut chances 2 = put it on a plate for Bendtner and he'll drop the plate :D

Firstly, that's TWO stats on each player, secondly, did Cisse only score from 2 inches from the line, no. Did Carroll fluff plenty of easy chances, yes.

Those are some stats, that simply point out, to a Liverpool supporter who decided to have a pop at Bendtner, that three players who all cost vastly more than bendtner, have missed dramatically more often this season, nothing more or nothing less.

Also, please point out the conclusions I drew, go on, oh wait, I drew no conclusions at all, I posted TWO stats for each player and ASKED SOME QUESTIONS. Did I say or conclude that Bendtner missed less than Suarez, no, I posted some stats that suggested this and asked the question, is he closer to the best striker in the league or Liverpool's highest scoring striker....

I made a statement about Cisse, largely because he is a beast, and because you full well know, and I do that the vast majority of Cisse's goals were actually freaking awesome, there were a couple tap in types thrown in for good measure, but what, 70-80% of his goals were stunningly well hit. There were 2-3 from around 10-12 yards that were relatively simple but still pure brilliance, from the power, the accuracy, the shooting early and leaving the keepers with zero chance.

Robbo, really, I mean, seriously, I post stats, where the stats alone(with no other knowledge) suggest he's the third best of only the ones I listed.... so where am I claiming or suggesting Bendtner is the best player in the world, no where at all, same way I've never ever come close to claiming Eboue is the best player in the world.

We've got Moses questioning the conclusions I drew, without me actually drawing any conclusions, we've got Pigeon unable to answer how Suarez, Carroll and Downing all miss so much more than Bendtner after deciding to post something about Bendtner missing a lot, and we've got Robbo, intimating I'm claiming something I didn't.

I've mentioned reading comprehension on this forum before, I think I'll do it again, its responsible for 95% of the incorrect claims on this forum.

Cisse's stats are ridiculous to be fair, to the extent that while I hope he does well next season as I like Newcastle I'm sure he won't be able to keep that up - talk about hitting the ground running, though I think he basically continued his Bundesliga form so who knows :p

In fact looking at his past seasons he's just a goal machine

Though not sure about some of his stats on ESPN - 08/09 - 33 goals scored, 15 shots, 15 shots on goal.

Please let it be Liverpool who has tapped up Holty, if they paid 35m for Carrol imagine what we could get!

Can't believe Grant Holt had the guts to hand in a transfer request, without us he would still be stuck playing league 1/2 football.. He gets adored by the fans, he's the captain and we play football that suits his specific needs, at which other clubs is he going to get that?

I understand that he has been a driving force for us this season and has scored far more than everybody else in the team, but he's 31 and had one good season in the prem. Yet somehow he now thinks he's bigger than the club.. Lambert tried to avoid Holt thinking he was bigger than the club, but our **** performances without him in the team have only seemed to add to Holt's ego.

It's a shame, he seemed like one of those genuine guys who was happy at how far he had come and loved the club, clearly not.

I agree.

I'd still like to see Walcott play upfront and see how he gets on but I think it's fair to say he hasn't lived up to his hype.
