Rumours it was as low as £5m too (Villa was £6m + 2m add-ons allegedly). Mental.
He is a quality DM but has not shown it for a while. Horribly out of form and fitness. Will he get his form back at Real? there saying he will replace Diarra but did he play a lot?
i read earlier he was a very high scorer previous season, 2nd to rooney and RVP? could be nonsense of course but if we get him for £5m, it can't be bad if he gets goals? i just can't think where he's going to play though? we needed more creativity...

Lawernson needs ripping on because on motd3 this week he our right dismissed our chances of signing him for reasons best known to his own stupidity. Funny to see Lineker sharing in this view that he is a complete idiot.
Surely we've got something lined-up. Today's the last day of filming for the US documentary thing - we're going to announce Falcao at 10.55pm.

I'm struggling to think why they bothered signing Sigurdsson. Are they just winding up Liverpool or have they come up with a whole new formation, revolving around a striker, 2 wingers and 2 attacking midfieldfers?
If they were to play all 5 in a game, it would essentially be a 4-1-5.

In the league he's pretty damn good, considering we're a team that don't score too many he's managed 7+ goals in the league for the last 4 seasons, 17 in league (23 total) last season, 13 the season before. Not bad for a left winger.
Big step up for Westwood but he is a good prospect, a few other Premier League clubs wanted him but he wants to stay local.
AVB is dismantling a top 4 team

I'm not sure how you've come to that conclusion? It doesn't seem as if any of the outs have really been that terrible, especially Modric as that was always happening.

Cole returning, Sterling's promotion and Assaidi also coming in. In terms of attacking options we're not much worse off, the problem is the balance. Last season we had 4 people that could play through the middle, now we have 2.
If we've not got something lined up then it was madness to let Carroll go.
