With all due respect to Liverpool they can't attract the same level of players that United, City and Chelsea can so your point about those clubs is fairly moot

I disagree to a point.

Liverpool could attract better players than Dempsey to the club but they don't have the money like the other big clubs have to thrash out and buy them.

I'm still confused at Liverpool not getting anyone in today and loaning out Carroll/Selling a few others off.

I can't understand it!

It's crazy. Even if the club couldn't bring somebody in without letting somebody go, you'd assume that they'd have made sure everything was in place for that incoming transfer before letting Carroll go.

Dejagah confirmed by Fulham on a 3 year deal with option of a 4th. PLEASE let us sign a centre mid. Could become a very dutch style 4-3-3 otherwise.

You know things must be bad if even Baz is being negative about Liverpool :p

Are you really the best person to say that? :p

Things aren't as bad as some are making out but it's frustrating that we were 1 signing away from a very good summer.

Our attacking options have gone from: Kuyt, Bellamy, Maxi, Carroll, Suarez and Downing

to: Borini, Sterling, Assaidi, Cole, Suarez and Downing.

Numbers and even quality aren't that different, it's just the balance that's a concern.

Meeting release clauses, paying more than other clubs were willing to for players, and selling your best player for far less than his 'market value' - stonking effort! ;)

You do know each and every player sold is paying more than other clubs are willing to. If Aguero hadn't gone for 30mil, about a gazillion clubs would have had him for 38pence and a packet of crisps. Ultimately most players come down to who wants a player more and they out bid him.

Spurs DID beat Liverpool, by paying more, but how did they do that? By being a better run more financially sound team Spurs did quite clearly beat Liverpool. Pool were spending roughly 120mil a year in wages while Spurs were spending 70-80mil, beating them in the league and having the overhead in money/wages to bring in those players for that little more.

I've been saying for years, every stupid deal costs you in the future, buying Downing for WAY more than he was worth and giving him WAY higher wages than he was worth is what meant you couldn't afford Sig or Dempsey, both players Liverpool desparately needed.

So year, Spurs running a financially sound club for donkeys years is what let them beat Liverpool, and beat them they did, pretty easily it seems.

You should thank your lucky stars West Ham are retarded enough to match Carroll's wages and you should literally be kissing the ground Adam walks on. Here is one of the few players in the league that wasn't wanted, moved on and likely took a significant pay cut to do so, he could have sat eating wages(Joe Cole, Ade, Bridge, Diaby, Ferriera, etc, etc) while barely playing and with no care in the world. Adam gave you his all, got some assists, a couple goals, and left for first team football rather than sucking wages out of the team while playing in the reserves. There are hundreds of footballers around the world that wouldn't have left Liverpool, and you didn't overpay him in the first place.

Baz at least has the decency to point out he wasn't even remotely close to your worst player last year, neither did you massively over pay for him, he did a half decent job, a lot of Liverpool fans are crapping all over him while he happily moves on which helps Liverpool.
