Am I doing something wrong? My arms are killing me

Shall I go lighter? Tbh I'm not sure the weights will come off they seem to be rusted on...

Not about going lighter or even heavier, you need a routine. Something 1 dumbell isnt going to provide as you will simply outgrow it in weeks.

If your serious get a gym membership, where you can use real equipment and even two dumbells!;) . Allowing you to increase/decrease weight according to your limits and not the limit of one piece of equipment.

Seriously considering removing his access to this forum.

Just feels like trolling. Am I being too harsh?

I'm asking advice that's all...I asked before and got side tracked with work...

I haven't a few weeks off so am getting moving...I have one dumbell and a treadmill

I have lifted weights since I was 16....

And it's common on the web training with one barbell

It's not trolling:confused: on any level

why spend good money if I can train with what I have?

You can't.

You can train with just bodyweight movements, and you can find all sorts of advice on that on the internet. Saying you can weight train with 10kg of weight on a single dumbell is like saying you can drive a car at night with only sidelights on one cylinder with 3 flat tyres.

10kg dumbbell will last for a week, if you've been "lifting weights since 16" you'd know better, your legs are also skinny, weak and far from muscular!

Typo..meant haven't ...

My legs are solid muscle...they have been carrying around a bit of timber for decades....I'm not telling fibs

Please post a picture of these glorious strong legs.

Google pistol squat and try to do one. I'm willing to bet you can't.

You need a full body programme. Nothing else will really work in the same way. Weight lifting isn't just about stressing the specific muscle tissue you want to build, it's about stimulating your body in ways that encourage it to grow. Frequently doing full body and compound movements like squats, dead lift, rows, bench press, pullups will create a surge of hormones that tells your body you need to man up.

Do you buy every supplement you see an ad for? These magazines and websites are reliant on fad workouts to bring in people that want easy fixes and simple things like this that require next to no knowledge and no real work.

Don't believe everything you read.

Ok you have convinced me...that's why I asked the question...ask me about home cinema installs and I can help you...

I'm going to start off small...my arms today feel damaged..seriously...

I'm going to watch diet ...use the treadmill for 45 mins every night and do some sit-ups ,press ups and ditch the barbell...

I'm going to try and trim down and firm up...I want to ditch the moobs if I can and loose the gut that's my goal...

You need a gym and you need a proper diet, you don't need cardio at all. Check out Chris1712's log. Zero cardio, massive change and now he's handsome as ****.

Also don't do situps. They are pointless and can (read - will) injure you.

Troll. Or 14.

Yes, common with a BARBELL, not a damn 10kg DB.

You don't have a damn barbell!

You have apparently been lifting weights since you was 16. Lifting weights does not include shoveling cement or carrying timber.

So you have really strong muscular legs yet have moobs and a gut. Makes sense.

Honestly, how old are you? You are coming across as if you are sub 16.
