Forum drama aside, get a Supra.

(Mute, unless you want to hear a Linkin Park remix and that bloody "let the bodies hit the floor" song)

Just imagine it Nath, a twin turbo with a great manual box! With a carbon fibre interior and a carbon bonnet. Lowered and remapped, you would be king of the road :)

Until it breaks down

Nath, ****ing do it.

I'm currently in the final stages of getting a Toyota Starlet GT turbo roadworthy, and I just know it'll be worth the time and money spent on it, as well as the costs to come. All my mates have been on about how its an old car etc etc, but tbh, that's nothing if it gives you the enjoyment you crave.

Just do it mate. And then post pics for us all to see :p Wish I could be thinking about getting a Supes at 21!! Am 23 atm and I can imagine insurance being enough on a 1.3 turbo hah! Would dearly love an MA70 Supra after the Starlet however....

Go for it Naith, I can't say anything else given I want another e38 7 Series whilst planning on keeping my 5 series.... :o

You don't regret things you do, Only the things you don't do. ;)

Strange that, I regret marrying my ex-wife! :p

Yes, you are mental.

Buying an old Supra is devoid of any rational thought at all and is a completely illogical, expensive and stupid decision to make, especially as you currently have a nearly new car like your Ibiza.

But of course nobody buys a Supra because the spreadsheet says it makes sense or because it's practical and sensible. The whole concept of a twin turbo Supra is bonkers, therefore any decision to buy one will also be bonkers.

Therefore just because it's sensible not to buy one doesn't make not buying on the right decision.

Therefore, do it!*

*With one caveat. The Supra Twin Turbo is a VERY lairy car. Even the best of drivers can get into a lot of trouble very quickly with one. Even Will Gill on these very forums - ISTR he span his, in a straight line, on the Motorway and sold it the next day. They demand serious respect and very challenging to drive. Ask yourself if thats really something you feel you want and can handle :)

Hehe, it is somewhat funny to see the reliability of a JZ based car being questioned by somebody with the words "Ford" and "Mustang" in their sig pic :P (no offence meant just loling it the comedy value)

Of course do it.

I've grown to like that Ibiza the more I see your photos of it, but it still looks a bit like a pishy wannabe hot hatch on stilts...... Hence get Supra :D

My Neighbour has a black non-turbo made into a turbo, black, no spoiler, red leather re-trim and lowered on some split rims. Not perfect for the purists but more towards lowered just right rather than the slammed Dub look. It's lovely and has the best beading of any car I've seen. It makes my dirty Teg look very sad indeed.

Get it Done!!!

Yes even a deity like me can be made to feel like a mere mortal in these beasties :p

As you like them, do it, but you are opening a barrel of worms with repairs, running costs etc...

They are still awesome cars and imo don't look remotely dated, treat them with the respect they deserve and you should/could be ok and for the love of god make sure you get one with racelogic traction control, if you don't I'll hold my breath till you do!! :;):):o:mad::(

:p

infact I gave the RLTC advice to someone else here, he didn't listen and binned it,

RLTC, RLTC, RLTC :p

The madness was buying a new(ish?) piece of white goods when you clearly want to drive something more interesting. So the mistake has already been made, and now you should run with buying a supra.

sleep on it for a while. i go through a million phases wanting this and that. ive recently made another change but i sat and slept and debated it over and over and then went for what i wanted.
