Sorry, I was just concerned you may have only told them you didn't feel it was good enough to give as a present without specifying, thus placing your trust in them to recognise what you meant which, as I said, would have been a gamble considering it was sent to you like that in the first place. Didn't mean to come across as a dick.

who cares? If it keeps happening then maybe worry but otherwise meh, I imagine the world is littered with people who didn't agree 100% with something I've said. That's life, and tbh that's healthy. We won't all agree or get along, and that's just how it is. The really spooky nut jobs are the ones who want world harmony and aligned thinking on every matter. It's just not going to happen, not even with brain washing and conditioning etc.

FWIW I didn't think you did, but some posts depend on the mood of the reader when they get them. Text only is a pig like that. It loses all nuance of tone and personality.

I agree with that. Me and my partner agreed to cut down on communication through text during the day as way too many misunderstandings and silly tiffs would occur because of what you've described.
