Am I too old?

31 here. I've just bought a £70 joystick for Super Street Fighter 4 which my wife and all my mates think is just ridiculous.

I love it.

28 29 in augest i normal spend a few hrs a night playing got plenty of m8s who are around the same, plus i work offshore so am away a month and home a month

45 in 2 months & still Tea Bagging Youths on BF2 & laughing hysterically. :D
I also play Forza 3 & am as excited as a school boy about Friday & the release of Red Dead Redemption.

Now step out side & bring your six shooter it's time to die.

33 here. I've found the amount of time I actually play games has dropped dramatically from my available time. Most time is prioritised with my wife & daughter and I get maybe 2 hours a day for any recreational use of the pc so I'm more likely to watch something or troll forums like this one ;)

Limited play time is a blessing and annoying - I've had games like Batman: AA and GTAIV for months and have barely gotten beyond the initial areas. No chance to complete anything in a single sitting heh.

Isnt the average age of a gamer 33 these days - am sure I read it somewhere... I'm 30 this year but still love gaming...

My dad is 60 and plays on Modern Warfare 2 online (on xbox 360) most nights.. he isnt amazing but he got to level 70 and enjoys it which is the main thing.

im 23... my mum has been telling me to stop playing games since i was about 18 xP never listen to her tho :p i intend to keep gaming till my bones are too brittle to mash the keyboard :)

Complete opposite here.
I've lived alone in this house for 15 years on the 22nd of October & my front room is built around me & my gaming & music & entertainment.
Children are banned from my house as they use to much bandwidth & women are chained to the sink with just enough length to reach the oven.

coming up to 29 and i still enjoy games, although i am finding myself not being as good at them though!
dont listen to other peoples opinions, you might think theyre sad doing whatever they do in their spare time too :p
my ex partner used to moan about games being childish and taking up far too much time, next minute shes spent 3 hours on facebook, tellign everyone what she's eaten for dinner - only thats not a waste of time at all

You're never too old to do the things you like doing. I'm 32 and still play quite a few games, but I now just have to wait until my son has gone to bed before I play those 'nasty shooty shooty games' on orders from the wife :)

The average ages of gamers has gone up as we have grown up with games. It's definately over 30 now.

Been playing games since my teens, now I'm 36 and still playing games. Sadly don't have as much time for them as I used to... Oh well keep on gaming everyone.:)

40...and the guys who run the =FIB= servers are all in their 40s-50s.
My 12 year old son lad tries to out-do me on BC2, but when i tell him how many unocks i have he just gets shirty and says "yeah, only cos you bum the assault class to get all the unlocks", lol....

Judging by the lack of coordination my Dad displays when he 'has a go' on one of my games, I'd anticipate being far too crap to even contemplate FPS gaming long before I'm 50.
