**AM4 COMPATIBLE COOLERS**

Couple of weeks ago i purchased the white/black variant of Phanteks PH-TC14PE along with the AM4 bracket. I only used the mounting hardware from the box to install the cooler onto my Crosshair VI with the AM4 back plate which put it horizontal in my Haf X. The AMD brackert now has to holes punched into it at each end not 1 as per the image below.

The extra AM4 bracket only allows for vertical mounting and is the least ideal setup for airflow.

Might want to confirm with Phantek and look at updating the description as including the AM4 mount for horizontal installation.

I will let phanteks know your concern but I have a strong feeling that they will not change the design due to the manufacturing costs but no harm in trying.

Also for everyone else the NZXT Kraken X62 is now AM4 compatible out of the box.

They are working on a bracket but it could be mid march to end of March before we have it. Once I get a more accurate date I will post in here.

I can see that there is now a mounting kit, do you know if it works with their K2 Mount Doom cooler?

Hi,

I believe that the bracket does not fit the K2 sorry. It will only fit the current Brocken series coolers this is mainly due to the design of the heatpipes. As the cooler is EOL I do not think they will be releasing a bracket.

Not sure if I can link it but your sister company stocks the bracket for the Olymp, Matterhorn and Atlas which might fit it, the rep I emailed seemed to think so before release.

The bars look correct, but it doesn't seem to come with a back plate - maybe you use the stock AM4 backplate.

I would be interested in getting one of those too if they are confirmed as working. Otherwise it means getting a new cooler which is such a waste.

I would be VERY interested to know this as well.
Have a Mount doom and had to get a NH-D15SE, but prefer the K2 due to the fans of D15(First world problems, but hey ho)

Just to say, Be Quiet AM4 bracket works with the Dark Rock 2 Pro (its not shown on the compatability list)

Alpenföhn replied to a support question where I asked if this would worked. They said no as the cooler is discontinued. I'm not convinced whoever replied really checked... Well that's what I'm hoping.

Thought I would just order the matterhorn bracket and see if it works with the k2. Then I saw the delivery cost of £8.70. Thought I'd get free delivery. Don't understand how this has been calculated.

Maybe it's a bug as I had something larger in my basket which I removed. The total price did update but delivery stayed the same.

I find the best way to sort free shipping not working is to empty the basket, log out, log in and then put something in the basket.

Keep us updated! I don't have AM4 yet, but I'll definitely be buying a bracket for the future, did that with the X99 mounts as well .

Only needed the new bolts from the mounting kit as the small brackets for horizontal fan direction are the same as the am3 ones that came with the cooler originally..... The vertical brackets are different but who mounts that way anyway.
