Amazon Issue - Item says delivered, but not delivered and refusing to refund or re-attempt delivery.

I very much doubt they'd cancel your membership or black list you for a one off. At the very least they'll consider length of time as a customer and how much spent over the years. That'd be pretty bad business and that's not Amazon IMO.

If you charge back against their approval then they absolutely can do this. Charge back is last resort.

Good if they don't ban you for it then!

Just the flip-flopping attitude they have leaves a lot to be desired I think.

Absolute shambles to be honest, doubt I will use them again, certainly not for anything of value anyway.
Me and the Mrs have agreed if we need stuff and we can get it from a high street or retail park for more or less same money we shall do so and support the smaller more specialist companies.

So can anyone recommend a decent dehumidifier / AC combined unit ideally, with removable tray, budget upto around £350 from say likes of B&Q, Toolstation etc?

I googled the unit you mentioned in the OP, and noticed it was available to purchase direct from the manufacturer, for the same price as Amazon.

I've had one stolen package they put it behind my bin.... I have a curbside door with no front garden that was never not going to be stolen.

I got a refund easily then again it was a £10 screen protector for a very specific phone that's 5 years old I'm sure the thief felt well rewarded by that stolen package.

I did have a motherboard that never arrived but they just sent out a new one no questions asked.

I can't say I've ever had any real issues always have refunds instantly and replacements. Frankly they have always given me the best customer support I've ever had.

Then again I don't often refund or return stuff so maybe they have an internal limit or something.

Mind you of you have a camera and evidence is never arrive in surprised they were so pissy with you when I don't have that and had the service I did.

I think in the way they treated me, I was well within last resort to go down charge back route. :)

Never had an issue so far thankfully with Amazon when I had failed deliveries. My best was receiving an empty bag, that stated on the outside 'Our lightest packaging yet!'. lol.

I am going off Amazon with all the market place junk they sell at inflated prices, and a ton of scammers. I've started shopping with smaller companies now rather than going through Amazon, although, let's be honest, they are super convienient.

Meaco Arete One.

i've had good service from amazon (and overclockers too). both have refunded me for items. i bought a big expensive tv from amazon in 2017, changed my mind about wanting it, courier (hermes iirc) collected it. amazon said they never received it back. several weeks and a few worried phone calls later they did refund me.

I don't mind them putting it in a safe place, assuming it IS a safe place and not somewhere visible from the road.

However, they then take the "safe place" card with big bold letters on it saying "PARCEL BEHIND BIN" and for some reason wedge it in the door seal rather than putting it through the letter box... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think it's fear of losing fingers pushing things through letter boxes if the house has a psycho dog. Easily solved by a mini plastic pusher if they thought about it.

In the past I've had great service from Amazon but my last experience was terrible. I purchased an Amazon gift card from Lidl as a little extra gift for my son's birthday in January. When he tried to add it to his it gave an error that it was not a valid code.

After a few attempts to try it again, I got onto Amazon's customer service. They asked for the code and said it was not a valid code. They asked if I could send them a photo of the gift card and bar code from the packaing, which I duly sent.

Then they asked for proof or purchase, which I had, the original receipt showing the amazon gift card on it. They still insisted it was not a valid code and said I should take it back to the retailer.

I explained that the retailer would not give me a refund or sort it out because the code scratch off code had been used and they would have no way of knowing I hadn't been able to redeem the code on Amazon.

Amazon, still insisted I needed to take it up with the retailer. I was heading to the Lidl anyway the next day so I took the gift card and receipt on the off chance that they might be able to help. As I suspected they didn't do anything.

So I got back on the phone to Amazon and they still just insisted there was nothing they could do.

So despite me having the original gift card and packaging with the barcode, and the receipt showing I'd purchased it, they wouldn't give a refund. I couldn't believe it, had I been claiming hundred of pounds I'd have understood but this was a dispute over £10!!!

yeah, always great service here. I have had a few issues with delivery, but always rectified it when happening, and I expect it to happen now and again, I mean, Amazon after all are not the worlds smallest company.

This sounds like a Lidl issues to be honest, I don't see how this falls on Amazon to resolve.

Its a tricky one, I have been with Amazon literally since they started with just books.

I use it all the time and the items will be in the thousands now. had just a handful of problems in all that time.

In each one I just had to tell them it didn't arrive or was damaged. In each case they didn't even question it, I was instantly refunded, given a credit, usually the cost of the item and told to dispose of the item as I saw fit.

It didn't matter if it was amazon or a third party seller the customer service was the same.

This customer service is obviously excellent, but human nature is to take advantage of excellence. Whilst the vast majority of us wont, there are always people out there who will push their luck.

They have records of us going way back to our first purchase. They soon weed out the good from the bad and don't care whether its a third party seller or them.

Just playing devils advocate here but maybe they have changed their ways and question everything, admittedly I have never had to send anything back for a while now, I hope not.

Customer service on Amazon has taken a nose-dive recently. Just late last night I received a notification about an order I placed with them last year which was delivered last year. I don't want a repeat! Their chat system was totally borked, impossible to get through to a real person, just their Artificial Stupidity system. Thankfully I was able to resolve the issue - I hope - this morning.

not if it was a prepaid scratch card style one. all LIDL do there is scan the barcode same as for a tin of beans.

They need to activate it thought right? I don't think the gift cards work unless they're activated at the till, though please correct me if wrong in that assumption.

Otherwise how do the £10-£100 ones work for example? I have bought some before where you can define how much is on them.
