Amazon Locker. Glad I'm not short

Amazon Lockers are stupid anyway. The only ones around here are unusable by the general public as they're both located inside of university buildings and both require you to have a security card to enter.

Fixed for you OP.

isnt the average male height 5"9?
ops short

Well are they any worse than the top shelf of a supermarket shelf that most customers can reach. At least the front rows anyway.
I can reach all the way up to the storage right on the very top :D

short people often ask me to grab them a bottle of vodka etc :p

never been asked to reach a top shelf magazine though, how do you short people do it ?

the bigger they are the harder they fall always makes me laugh, people realise how leverage works right? being bigger also multiples the force. your short trex hands aren't punching with the same force as my dhalsim street fighter arms and legs

Yea same here, nice for students not for everyone else.

so much student housing blocks around here now too, always makes me feel like an intruder walking along a street I've used for 20 years like only students should be there..... they get mouthy sometimes too and they are on the border of a rough area I don't think they realise.

then you hear about "racist attacks" in the news, I think it's more likely some mouthy drunk student got what was coming to them

There's a documentary on how to Parkour various office furniture and outdoor obstacles. The lead host, Michael Scott, did a great job showing how it's done. I suggest looking it up and then next time you will be able to scoop yourself up on top of that blue tin and extract your package from the top slot

Also, ITT people forget that height is a generational thing. Most 15 year olds in the current gen will outgrow adults of theprevious gen.

We're going to start having widespread health issues if the average person gets much taller.

Being tall has a lot of disadvantages including increased risk of blood clots, cancer, heart disease, and joint issues.

Lucky for me I am bang on average for my gender and age.

You'll probably be at risk from a bunch of other things that a tall person isn't then.

The first page has been highly entertaining.

So what is the official OCUK cut off to be considered tall?

My vote is on 6ft 1.

Agreed. Anything below 6ft is short.

Interesting that you have your settings on a short number of posts per page though. I'm still seeing just the one page for this thread of 74 posts.

I got hit in the face by an amazon locker a few years ago (albeit lightly). I put the code in whilst stood slightly to the left of the screen, bending slightly to read the screen, and it just so happened to be the locker my face was next to, with an overzealous hinge.

It wasn't much force at all but the fact that it was the locker inside the RBS building in Spinningfields where I worked at the time, during a busy lunch period, made it quite embarrassing.

Didn't even know Amazon had lockers.

They're very handy if there happens to be one conveniently located for you. I have some Amazon lockers between my home and my workplace, so it works well for me. No need to be in whenever the delivery happens. No parcels left in your bin/on the pavement/etc. You get 3 days to collect it from the locker. Just swing by on the way and get your stuff.

I think people on OcUK forget that the UK is not a tall country. 5ft8 is hardly short, just a bit below average.

The UK is a fairly tall country. There are plenty of countries in which the average height is lower than that for the UK. There are very few places where 5'8" is below average for a woman, let alone short. Not even places like Denmark. Maybe a few areas in parts of Africa. Possibly.

Oh aye, and anyone with an income of less than £100K a year is poor.

If 5'8" is short, then tall has to be a fair bit more than 6'1". There has to be a range that's neither tall nor short. Even with the modern fashion for pretending that everything consists of only two opposing possibilities, it should be obvious that tall and short can't be the only two possibilities.

My cousin isn't far off 7ft, thin as a broom handle too, only early 20's but has already had health issues related to his height. Although quite funny as his partner is around 5ft2 :D
