Amazon Prime - Dont have it then you can wait.

I think it's some parts of London, or if you're within a certain distance of one of their depots, and only if you order early enough.
Does prime now count?
Not read the whole thread, but that was kinda my thought on the bits I did read. I hope it is two tier system, or what am I paying Prime for?!?!
Their two hour delivery is certainly quite impressive too. Used it just once, but was great to get another PS4 Controller in time for the extra mate that turned up to play

The amazon web site option to create new lists seems to be broken. - anyone else seen that.?
I regularly create a new wishlist, now, I type in the list name and click create,
but the list does not appear in the menu with list of lists, it failed with both chrome and firefox.

I agree with OP on the Prime thing, I've ordered some stuff with them and the last few times my stuff seems to take much longer to get to me than it use to, for me it isn't worth having Prime because I buy much of my stuff from other places because I don't like to support such big corporations.
That logic makes no sence when supermarkets like Asda (Walmart) has a revenue of almost 4 times what Amazon does. Does this mean you will never shop at Asda or buy fuel from their filling stations?
Personally I buy from where ever is cheapest as long as the service provided is decent. Most of the times that's Amazon, but quite often it's eBay or maybe even a local place like John Lewis or Toys R Us because they price match Amazon.
I've had plenty of same day evening deliveries in Wolves but then again there's a massive warehouse just down the road in Rugeley.
It's exceedingly crap how many items on Amazon are now "exclusively for Prime members only".
It's funny because you just can't buy most of these items without Prime.
Which means they are forcing you to shop elsewhere. It's an incredibly aggressive move, and unless most people are dumb enough to just grab Prime because they must shop at Amazon, surely people will just find another retailer.

So then you can just continually sign up for free prime trials with a new email address every month. I've done this countless times after they banned my account for "too many returns" when it was actually because they lost a few of my items. I still had a prime subscription and they didn't and wouldn't refund it.
Haven't seen many that are exclusively for prime members but also not available from other sellers - sometimes the prime exclusive has a significantly lower price but then that comes as a bonus of the scheme.
Personally I find I get my money's worth from having Prime but then I do use the video service quite a bit and the cloud storage a little.
I have seen Amazon products eg.an AOC monitor change to being exclusively prime over the last couple of days, so would have to purchase it dearer from a 3rd party instead.
(which I will not do due to potential gurantee/service issues)
so yes, what are Amazon playing at ?, do they change to prime only when there are only a few left - have to figure out what their algorithm is.
camelcamel does not yet seem to track whether items are swithching between prime-only/public modes.
EDIT: it is a pity camel camel do not track stock level too.
I still wonder if they could start manipulating prices on an individual basis, since they can see my shopping strategy, for 'consumables' or wish list, they will just sit
in my basket until they are on sale or I decide to make up a £20 postage free bundle and make a purchase.

They are not forcing you to shop else where, they are trying to get you to sign up to Prime.
It's a membership. Like you need to be a member to get into a club, or be a member to enjoy this spa. You want this spa? pay up.

I don't get it. You clearly like Prime. You like it enough to go through the hassle of setting up a new email address every month for a new account to get its benefits.
You use Prime and like Prime enough to do that. Just clearly far too tight to want to pay for it.
If you like it so much, why not just pay for it? What you will do is just drive up the Prime membership for everyone else.

Not everyone wants it, I certainly don't. If they want to encourage non-prime customers to look elsewhere thats their loss.
It's like you just didn't read what I said.
I did pay for a prime subscription...
It's karma that they lost my order multiple times and then banned my account with an already paid up active prime subscription?

I've had Prime for years, and like you I wouldn't be happy if I was paying for something that everyone received regardless... However, I've just had yet another Prime item arrive four days after placing the order, and the way things are if I didn't have Prime then I would've probably had to wait over a week.
Amazon now have us paying a surcharge (Prime) for standard delivery, and we accept it because the service is unbearable for those that don't.
