Amazon Prime - Dont have it then you can wait.

So when you click "see more" on the URL you posted in the one day delivery sectionyou do not get taken to:

Also if you are not sure what prime is why have you bought it?

No, that's another level down again. As I have been saying, I do understand what Prime offers because I've had it since it was launched and I've seen how it has changed. People who do not have any experience of Prime will look at those banner ads and think they're getting their item delivered in a one day time scale at no extra cost. That's how Amazon market it.

I have not seen any free next day delivery banners for a couple of years now.

It tells you delivery dates several times before and after placing an order. I can not see how anyone would get confused.

If you understand what it is who are you arguing the case for?

I'm arguing the case for people who get conned into signing up for it based on the shiny banner ads they run for it. They get conned into it by the terminology used to market it, and it's only when you get to use it that you understand how it actually works.

Try getting a refund for the Prime service after you've had a couple of rouge deliveries that take about a week to arrive.

Where are these people? How can they get confused about "your order will be deliverered on Day Month Year"?

I get a month free whenenever a delivery is a day late, I got a refund for what I had not used to gain advantage of the price drop and signed back up again. No issues.

There is a limit in that you will only ever get 12 free months if you are unfortunate to get 12 late deliveries.

I imagine that the people who might find this confusing are also the same people who would sign up for the free trial and then blame the company because they failed to cancel the trial in time.

Even then they haven't really got cause to complain as if you've not used it they'll refund the full amount or a partial amount if you've had a delivery without argument.

Yeah, that happened to my girlfriend once. I think she accidently got the trial but never used it, then she got billed for the year afterwards. She panicked but it was fairly simple for me to help her get a refund since she never used it.

I've had nothing but good from Amazon in the past.

imo couple years back even if I ordered something free/standard I would get it quicker than the advertised 'will take 3-5 or 5-7 standard days' - havent ordered anything since they started prime until yesterday so lets see how long it really takes

I ordered it at 09:12am and the one-day delivery is going to arrive 3 days later. :D

Make sure to check your emails, I ordered yesterday morning (3am) and they said it would be here on Monday but turns out they're shipping it today, missed half of what I ordered because I didn't know this at the time.

Ages on Black Friday regardless

And if there's a spelling mistake to latch onto, then all the better. :D

There’s another section here though.

I understand it. There isn’t anyone here who does not understand it, but I’m going to argue it’s a disgrace anyway :p

Also the section I am in; everyone understands it but I’ll keep the conversation going for no reason :p

Oh make no mistake, I'm including myself in that flowchart too. :p

And get it delivered on December 3rd instead. :p
You jest, but likely true.

If it's ETA is that far away it's because it's either fulfilled by Amazon but out of stock (so Prime won't make it appear in stock any faster) or it's a third party seller from Uzbekistan and it wouldn't be prime eligible anyway :p

On a related note, the Sonos I ordered on Friday with a 'by Monday' delivery estimate arrived yesterday at my local Amazon locker.

Here's another; I want this headset and apparently as I'm a privileged Prime member I can get them on Tuesday. Obviously, I screen capped the process as we've been talking about this recently so...

I get to the next screen, that Tuesday delivery is gone!

I order, and sure enough it's another 3 day wait for my one day delivery.

I know... I'm an idiot, it's all my fault etc..

It just seems very difficult to get an actual one day delivery these days.
