Amazon Prime - Dont have it then you can wait.

On the flip side - I ordered a few things in the Black Friday sale advertised as per your earlier images of arriving Monday or Tuesday and they are out for delivery today.

I thought instant delivery was a thing some places, by drone :D They messed everything up on my last try, their support was somebody who doesnt really understand english (outside of a flow chart) so yea not great on that occasion

When Amazon say they attempted to make a delivery but couldn’t get in. They didn’t ring the intercom nor did they use the very clear instructions on how to get in.

@String, do you have a default delivery address setup?

I'm wondering if some of your issues are stemming from it offering things on the store page that aren't available to the address you're then selecting for delivery.

I used to get Sunday deliveries after ordering on a Saturday, but it's all changed now.

You seen some of their changes recently? Same day delivery now has a different minimum spend, costs £3 and a tip is compulsory.

Their delivery performance has taken a massive nose dive recently, they're failing to meet obligations time and time again. I'm cancelling my sub, it's simply too unreliable lately.

Here's another; I want this headset and apparently as I'm a privileged Prime member I can get them on Tuesday. Obviously, I screen capped the process as we've been talking about this recently so...

I get to the next screen, that Tuesday delivery is gone!

I order, and sure enough it's another 3 day wait for my one day delivery.

I know... I'm an idiot, it's all my fault etc..

It just seems very difficult to get an actual one day delivery these days.

so in retrospect, if you are in Pantry range , that would have been the best option ? at least it is £3 hard money offsetting prime subscription,
and not money off of movies/kindles you may not want.

To be honest, I really need to stop moaning about it and put more effort into buying from alternative places.

Have you got more than one address on the account? I reckon one of your addresses covers evening deliveries but the one you've selected doesn't.

You're probably right. I find the system a bit hard to follow now they've so many options. A lot of this stuff, you'd get a better delivery service from a high street shop... It's just habit going to Amazon.

Are you sure that's not Prime Now? That always was more expensive as they do within 2 hours. When I used it, I declined a tip, but that could have changed.

Yes, Prime Now. Before it used to be £20 min spend and you'd get a two hour delivery window on the same day (it's never been "within two hours" AFAIK). Now it's £30(?), £3 delivery charge and you have to tip.

I have had this too. Ordered stuff mid Friday with ETA of Monday and it turned up yesterday and today.

I don't tend to have issues but from the various contacts over the last 3 years things have definately changed.

I am starting to wonder how much of their web chat is an AI based system now from the way it resolves problems and questions. There certainly seems to be an escalation trigger where the structure of responses back changes.

As a non prime customer, I ordered something for the first time in months on Tuesday. It didn't get despatched until Thursday evening which seems standard.... but looking at the tracking just now, it's in bloody Germany. There was nothing on the product page to suggest it was coming from overseas and it's still available next day for Prime customers. WTF?? :p

Well it looks like my order from Germany is in my home town so I might get it today. Looking at the product page today, it's no longer marked with any Prime logo - instead you can pay for "one day delivery" and get it Wednesday. That makes sense. :D
