Amazon prime sale tomorrow - Moderator edit, no competitor discussion please

Same I bought a firetv stick last week for £35 and it's virtually half price. Debating whether to buy another and return it as the one I bought full price!

Yep I'm going to use the online chat to see if they'll refund the difference. £20 is a lot! It'd cost £5 to send it back to them so if I did that under DSR, I'd still save £15!

Edit: It took less than 2 minutes and they've refunded the difference :) Excellent customer service as per usual from Amazon :) I was just really polite and friendly, I didn't demand anything nor did I say I'd return the other one anyway, I just asked if it would be possible as it was purchased less than 7 days ago, and he sorted it for me :)

Haha same here!

Now to use that £16 and the £10 promotional credit from the gift card to buy the bigger Amazon TV box!

What's the difference between the stick and the box?

The box is more powerful (quad core CPU), let's you play all the games, has a remote with the microphone search functionality built in, connects via network cable, and allows you to plug in USB storage. The Fire Stick doesn't do any of that, and has a smaller games selection.

Oh cool, thanks. Nothing there that I can't do with other devices already, I'll go with the stick then!

What a bummer, I only purchased a Fire TV box a few days ago and now it's £20 less! I really didn't think that it would come up in the sale, I just thought it'd be clearance stuff :(

they've got a good returns policy... you could make like a chav in M&S on boxing day... take back your item and buy it again at the lower price

Look down the left hand side of the screen, it is there.
It plays hide and seek though, mine disappeared for a while.

Hmm I can't see it, makes me wonder if the deal has now expired. I had a look at the gift card page and can't see any options for sale price.

Edit: If you do a search for Amazon prime day gift cards, you can see them on the US site, but not on the UK site :(.

If you message customer support they'll usually refund you the difference if the price has dropped. I've done that in the past.

Decided to give one of those Mediflow water pillows a go at £25, I think I saw someone else on the forum talking about them a while back.

So much hype, yet so far it's more of a fail this "sale".

There's always one, or a few.

You could have saved lots on Nutella last night :p

The question is whether the product listed are the one you are looking to buy regardless. These sale are good for that, if you plan to buy a certain item, it is no doubt cheaper than it is normally. You will save money. But these sale are never so cheap that make you buy something you never intended to in the first place.

People get that confused and moan.
