Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

Up for renewal at the end of the month and am considering cancelling, as we are getting ****** with seeing things we had started to watch and left for a while, now having added payment to view, or having to sign up to another streamer.

Amazon checkout trickery/traps to try and get you to accidentally sign up for prime, and avoid the free postage>£25, is a game.

I'd love to know if at the final buy button press it will give you a summary that shows you what you have done.

You have to click through many screens to sign up, it's not like you can do it by accident unless you are paying 0 attention.

Free delivery is easily gotten around by using pick up locations/locker. No minimum spend.

you then have to drive/travel to a location/locker ? or, it is just a ruse and you get it delivered to you free no minimum spend ?
I have a locker in my works car park so not exactly a trouble lol
Also have one next to a b&m I pass on the way for a food shop/to work. No effort at all.

If you have to go out your way to a pick up location/locker fair enough but where I live there's so many

Getting fed up with Prime. They used to be awesome, same day delivery on many products and guaranteed next day for 99% of their stock. My Astro A50s died so I want to order new ones. £250 on Amazon which is the going rate, great thinks I, I'll order it on Prime Now and have it in a couple of hours. Price? £350. £100 more for same day delivery. Fair enough, I can use an alternative for the night and get them delivered tomorrow. Can I? No. Wednesday soonest. It's not like I live in the sticks either.

Prime cancelled. Not worth paying extra for delivery which can be had free elsewhere.

/Rant
"A couple of hours" - for where I am in the south west, that delivery time frame is crazy talk.

100%. What is even odder is that the model is garbage enough to break and he wants more of the same?

Had an Amazon parcel delivered by DPD. Thought it was strange as the item value was £11.75.
Depending on product you can get a bit of anything. I've had Royal Mail, Amazon, DPD, Evri etc......

My Prime was set to renew for the year on the 17th, had it for over a decade and just cancelled, have 0 intention to pay for a service and still watch adverts.
Even though I dont buy from Amazon as much as I used to, I kept Prime just to have the freedom to watch their movies and TV shows whenever I wanted.

These ads just cross a line though. Unfortunately my renewal is not until September, but I've just selected to get a reminder 3 days before, and I will be cancelling it as well. Massive step back by Amazon

Anyone got a ring camera? See its going up in price again to £50 a year now, hilarious.

Id rather not have the recorded footage tbh.

I think if you cancel early you get a pro-rata refund.

I cancelled my Amazon video channels after the ads started and they said pro-rata refund but just refunded the full amount :s didn't really care either way for the sake of a few quid, if it wasn't for cancelling on the basis of ads I'd just stopped the subscription instead of going for a refund as well :s

Cancelled next renewal as soon as I received the email, but my subscription renewed for a year last December so 10 months before it ends. This money-grabbing attempt is going to cost them through loss of not only currrent subscribers but also potential new sales. Plenty of subscription-free alternatives out there now.

Is there? Got a link to a few of the free ones.

Reports that you also loose Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision unless you pay the extra as well.

I cancelled. It actually fits into a new mindset I've been trying to adopt anyway; I now buy more physical media, have disposed of anything like sky etc. and just opted to slow it down a little. I suppose I should thank amazon really.
