AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

Overclocking and undervolting with out validation is pointless, you can set a high OC and it be applied but the performance can be worse. So make sure you do 3dmark run after each clock you apply and compare the scores
He's not affiliated with AMD and he's not a 'Pro' overclocker you know? He's got no reason to mislead you. Too much distrust.

So undervolting can improve performance? I've never done any GPU overclocking. On CPUs, you normally need more voltage to run faster. But undervolting can help get more performance on a GPU? Is that because of the power limits?
yeah AMD has shown similar behaviour over recent generations. Power and heat limits the "boost" clock. Chucking unnecessary volts at the GPU just means that it hits both limits at lower speeds.

It wasn't about distrust It was about informing that applying a clock is and it not crashing is not enough anymore, GN has made several videos showing this.

Which is why they are introducing PBO 2 with automatic undervolting for their CPUs - more performance without increasing TDP and power usage. :)

Are others still waiting on the refund to clear from the over sold 6800xt last week? I don't understand why its taking so long. Other items that get refunded are cleared within a day yet this refund from ocuk still hasn't cleared 7 days later

800$:eek::eek:
nitro 770$

msrp
msrp/rrp is just an unfunny joke.

I'm not even excited for the 6700XT. Judging by the laked info from VC it's massively cut down from the 6800. They'll probably want £550+ for it too.

You'll get XSX level performance for more than the entire cost of the XSX, lol.

PC GPUs are a joke.

3/5
  • No price listed, will probably be super expensive
  • Very similar to AMD reference in terms of performance, power, heat, and noise
  • Raytracing performance loss bigger than on NVIDIA
  • Memory overclocking artificially limited

They say exactly the same negatives for the Nitro+

None of these cards are worth the £200 premium over the reference model. As I said before, the benchmark has been set with the reference model at £600. That is what I want.

Same with the 3080 FE. That is the price we should be paying.

Unfortunately that might see you waiting till April/May 2021 until cards come down in cost.

That's nearly 6 months of gaming you're missing out on. You then might decide to wait for RDNA3..

AIB Worth a £150 premium over reference IMO.

just watched hardware unboxed and were talking to AIB's the blame lies squarely with AMD, margins were 10% at most, why on earth would you get a 800$ 6800xt over a 3080 699$ when market settles, even with 16gb thats one heck of a premium

Couldn't agree more, No supply even if they did want to charge these ludicrous sums, inflation is not running rampant. Gonna have to wait this one out for prices to level closer to MSRP.

Now its clear the huge demand for these cards and Nvidia Cards, production will ramp up, and these prices should come down to reference prices, which are still ridiculous for only 1 part of the system.

You could subscribe to Stadia and play Cyberpunk and many other titles!!! PC costs are becoming a bit daft in my eyes.
